Is that rain protection in your pocket or are you just happy to see us?

Have not had occasion to frolic in the rain, but most impressive, the XL's are plenty long for a 6'3" beanstalk. Great fit and from all indications a quality product.
Just one flaw, but a big one - the fly zipper is NOT waterproof at all.
If your jacket is not going to cover it completely, then prepare to get water right where you do not want it to get to... Really unpleasant sensation.... :-(

So far so good
I was a little worried about the fit (6'1", 150lbs), but went with a medium. Turned out to be a good decision, as these fit GREAT. Wore them out snowshoeing all day--breathable enough that the vents aren't really missed, and definitely waterproof...could use a back pocket though.
I bought these specifically for field work this spring/summer (didn't want to waste $100 on some wimpy ultralight, but still needed something that can pack), so we'll see just how well they hold up to the rigors of digging in a spruce forest.
All in all, pretty pumped.
I work in this pants all day at the Shelter over a year and this pair of pants holds up against rough and tough dog plays and keep me dry all the time. Sometimes bleach spills on them and the power wash surface its sleeves and no damage done yet. They fully cover my Patagonia Drifter GTX shoes and they work wonders together. I'm about to order another Helly packable from this site.
pants wicked awesome
Used these the other day when the rain was coming at me sideways. Worked gr8 on my bike. I'm 5'11" 170 # and the medium works for me. I wouldn't want to go smaller........the waist is a good size(room to move)but the length is jes' right.....any smaller and they would be too small. The water jes' beaded off. Recommend these??????? oh yeah!!!!!
I am 6'2" and 155 lbs. It is hard to find pants that fit me right and the mediums fit perfect with these pants. The rain just bounces right off of them rather than getting soaked on the outside while keeping you dry on the inside.
Does this have a full-length side zipper?

1. What is the inseam on the small?
2. Given that there seems to be paraphenalia on the bottoms (snap? zippers?) does altering them become impractical either because of the design and/or the cost of reconstructing the bottom to be shorter would be impractical? Thanks.
1. The inseam is 31.5.
2. Definitely makes it harder, probably bordering on impractical.
I usually wear a 32 inseam with 36. That...
I usually wear a 32 inseam with 36. That will be Medium for the waist, will it be too long to the bottom of the leg? Thanks
A medium has an inseam of 34".
