I read the poor reviews and thought to offer some insights: I'm 6'0 and 165 lbs, M fits me perfectly.

The sizing is misleading.

I like the bibs, but I just returned what should be my size and ordered one size up. All sizes seem fine through legs, hips and waist and then the bib part (the part above the waist) is very narrow. It is made of elastic material, but after zipping it up I felt like in a corset, even before putting any layers on. The pictures on the site don't give an indication about that tightness. We will see if one size up from the recommended size (according to the size chart) is the right fit.

I bought as a gift for my husband. Euro sizing runs different, but I followed their sizing guide for a perfect fit. He loves them!

Although I liked the quality of these pants, the fit, prescribed by HH's detailed fit guide (found on their site), was too tight. Strange, because I was also careful in reading several reviews posted by people that were close to my height and weight, most claiming that sizing ran large. I'm 6' 2" 180 lbs and I'm returning the mediums ordered.

Euro Sizing Is So Awful
I wear a size 35in waist in everything. The Helly Hansen Chart says a Large waist = 36 to 38.5in. The Large wasn't even CLOSE to fitting. I'm 6ft1, 220 lbs have actual man legs and i'm not even sure the the XL would be enough if I have alot of layers on.
