Runs small! Size up! Great fit upsized

I usually wear a medium shell and a layer and thin puffy fits underneath. I got a medium but it was too tight so I returned it for a large. I'm 5'4" and 145 pounds, curvy athletic build. The large fits perfectly with layers and a thin puffy underneath without feeling like or looking like a stuffed bear! I love the fit because I am small at the top and have hips. It curves great at the waist and flares out so I don't have to fight to get the zipper up the bottom. It looks shaped on me vs the usually boxy look I get because coats are usually too big on top and tight at the bottom on me. Finally a fit I love! I also love how the removeable powder skirt is integrated with hooks so you don't have to snap it and have that extra bulk. At first I was disappointed there was not a sleeve zip pocked and then I realized there is a ski pass specific pocket hidden inside the coat...what a great idea!

The quality and structure are perfect. The cut is very flattering but it's tight! I was hoping I could wear a thin down layer underneath but I'll have to go up a size.
