Keep moving.

When you’re sliding off the lift for another epic lap, you’ll be glad you’re wearing the Helly Hansen Men’s Backbowl Jacket. Constructed with a two-layer waterproof Flow membrane, and a H2Flow venting system, this jacket provides breathable protection from the snow. It’s lightly insulated with Primaloft Black synthetic fill to block out chills on the lift ride without roasting you when you’re tearing back down. Helly Hansen added a Hi-Viz brim to the helmet-compatible hood to increase your visibility on snowy days.

I bought the backbowl jacket for ski trip to Jay Peak. Skied for three consecutive days. First day was 64 degrees. Wearing only a short-sleeve t-shirt under the backbowl jacket and was a little hot. Second day started out at 20 degrees. Warmed up to 28 degrees and rained. Extremely windy. Tram and Flyer lifts not running due to the wind. I wore long-sleeve shirt and fleece vest. I was perfectly comfortable the whole day. On my last run of the day, sat on the lift for 10 minutes as it rained and the backbowl jacket kept me dry and warm. I also bought the backbowl ski pants. All three days I did NOT wear any base layer under the ski pants. I will say that my knees got a little cold while sitting on the chairlift. Mostly skiing and moving and I was warm. Final day was 36 and windy. Some lifts were closed mid-day due to wind. I am a 50 year old. I'm 6 feet tall and 225 lbs. I bought the XL and it fit well. Plenty of room to move arms and upper body. Sleeves stop at my between wrist and knuckles. A little long, maybe. I like how it fits. Ski pants also an XL. I have a 40 inch waist. I LOVE my HH BackBowl jacket and pants. Hope this helps!

Helly Hanesn has continued to up their game with their new line this year. This is the best ski jacket I have ever owned. The features on this jacket really show the amount of thought and R/D they have put into it to make sure there was nothing over looked. A few of my favorite features are the mouth vent, pass pocket, oversized cuff adjusters and the functional thumb holds.
