The lightest four-legged camp chair around.

Chairs are usually the first things that get left behind on a backpacking trip. But instead of settling for sitting on stumps or planting your butt in the dirt, you can enjoy sitting above the ground in the Helinox Chair Zero Camp Chair. Unlike other packable camp chairs, this one comes complete with a back rest so you can relax after a long day of hiking instead of constantly trying to stay balanced when you're scarfing down your camp meal. Best of all, it's extremely lightweight and packs down to the size of your water bottle so you can bring it just about anywhere, from deep in the backcountry to summer outdoor concerts.

    Worth It

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Lightweight and compact, yet comfortable and sturdy. Most would argue it's unnecessary weight when backpacking, but I'll make the sacrifice any day. Won't be the go-to for car camping, but perfect for overnight adventures on foot.

    Perfect lightweight chair

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

This chair is perfect for backpacking. Super lightweight. It’s nice to have somewhere comfy to sit. It’s also great to keep in the car for trips to the beach, lake, park, soccer games..

    Camping more comfy.

This chair was bought for my niece, she took it to Moab on a camping trip and she loves it. Its lightweight and small and easy to travel with.

    Bikepack Approved.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got this specifically for bikepacking. After many hours in the saddle it's nice to have something to actually have a seat instead of a rock or the ground. This chair is SO light you wont even notice it. The chair is a breeze to set up and really holds up well. You want to make sure you are on level solid ground so you're not sinking on one of the legs. Get one you wont regret it!

    Lightweight and comfy

Got sick of backpacking in and having nowhere to sit that is comfortable. Adds a little bit of weight and bulk but well worth it for most trips. Everyone else at the camp bought one when they got home.

      Super light chair

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This chair is super light and packs down to a great size. I do wish, however, that i bought the slightly larger chair for when i'm not backpacking and can spare a little size for more comfort.

Worth the weight and so comfortable

For years I thought carrying a chair while backpacking was a useless extravagance. The first time I tried this chair I changed my mind. It is insanely comfortable even for it's small size. I am 6' tall and the chair is just large enough to support my shoulder blades and tall enough that I don't feel like my knees are above my head. A great way to rest your back after a full day of hiking. It's so light and easy to pack I take it on most of my day hikes as well.

Light, compact and easy to set up

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Unfortunately it broke on the first night I used it backpacking. I leaned over to pass something to the person next to me and one of the aluminum legs snapped. I’m 6’2” and 200lbs so not a small person but was disappointed.

        Helinox Chair Zero

The Chair Zero is not only the lightest four-legged camp chair, it's more comfortable than most, too. Enjoy sitting 11" off the ground, relaxing without having to balance or use your abs to enjoy a meal or the view, and it packs down no bigger than most water bottles - so there's no reason to leave it at home no matter the adventure. The ultralight Chair Zero offers unmatched weight savings and packability.
