    Love it!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This chair is so awesome....just wish I got to sit in it more because my Girlfriend takes it every time we go camping! I guess I am just going to have to get her one too. It is super compact when put away and very easy to set up. Great design that is very durable. I did get a spark on mine the first night I used it so that was a bummer when it burnt through but the little hole has not caused any trouble through a whole summer of camping. A little heavy to justify for long hikes but for easy overnighters, it is worth the extra weight to me.

    Excellent Portable Camp Chair

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is an outstanding, portable, lightweight camp chair with great comfort and support. This camp chair has more upper back support than the One Camp Chair by Helinox and is preferred as a compromise to larger chairs while still retaining its compact size and portability.

The set up of the chair was a little tough in stretching the fabric to get the poles to fit into place but after setting up and taking down a few times it is much easier.

I would recommend without reservation. I plan to get a One Camp Chair when portability is a bigger factor but see a place for having both especially if you want to use them at home and break one out on the patio or at a concert.

Best light chair for older woman to use.

I am tired of lugging bag chairs on my back, I'm not a turtle! But most light weight travel chairs are difficult to put together. I found the camp chair to be the perfect height for knees that don't bend low, and it's easy to assemble. The cover is somewhat of a stretch to put on, but even with arthritis in the fingers, I can do it! Backcountry was great to shop with, package arrived in good time. Can't wait to take it on the plane (check with your airline first, but it should pass in your check in luggage). I am my niece's "groupie" on her Ironman triathalon events, and find taking my own seat is a plus.

      Best Camp Chair Ever!

I have been stealing my friend's Helinox chairs when sitting around the fire for years, but I finally decided to take the plunge and get one of my own. I was deciding between the Chair One and the higher backed Camp Chair, which are both incredibly comfortable, but in the end I went with the Camp Chair. This decision came down to two factors: 1) I'll probably use it for car camping and short overnight backpacking most of the time, so the extra little bit of weight and the larger pack size wasn't a huge factor, and 2) I really liked having a higher back on the chair since I have a lingering neck injury and I can use all of the support I can get.

I took my new Helinox Camp Chair on a five day river trip down Desolation Canyon last week and this chair was perfect. It packed up small enough to fit into my dry bag with absolutely no issues and it is extremely comfortable, not to mention easy to set up. The only issue I had is that my friends coveted my chair and would steal it every chance they got. I guess that's the problem with having the most comfortable chair at the fire pit.

        10/10 would buy again.

        Helinox Camp Chair

A simple, lightweight, technically designed chair with back and neck support for a seriously comfortable backcountry experience. Single shock corded pole design makes set up quick and easy. The comfort to weight ratio on this chair is astounding.

High back is only way to go

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've had the normal size Helinox chairs and they are amazingly comfortable and conventient, but to add the higher back makes this chair definitely worth the additional money. Doesn't seem to add that much additional weight.

Watch every Sunset & Sunrise in Comfort

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Imagine your body cradled from every angle as if you are being held by a giant mesh hand. That is the level of comfort you get with the Helinox Camp Chair. I like to call it my egg chair. Great for car camping and even light enough for leisurely day hiking or backpacking, I found opportunity to use this chair almost every day this past summer and fall. Simple to assemble and break down, it fits easily in its carrying case and should be kept in your car at all times. You never know when you might need to take a seat and watch the sun go down with a cold one in your hand. Or even better, enjoy the sunrise with a hot beverage as seen in the picture below. That is me enjoying the Sawtooth Mountains of Central Idaho on a camping trip this past summer.

Watch every Sunset & Sunrise in Comfort

        Comfortable, lightweight, easy to use

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought one for my wife for camping. It is so comfortable and easy to move that she uses it daily in the house as well, typically as a reading chair next to the fireplace. It seems to weigh as close to nothing as possible, comes with an easy-to-use pouch, folds open and closed easily, and is the most comfortable camping chair I've ever experienced. The down side: the full retail price is ridiculous, so wait for a good sale.
