Just because your drivetrain has recently graduated to eleven-speeds, doesn't mean that your freehub body has. Chances are that your current HED wheels aren't compatible with an 11-speed Shimano/SRAM cassette, which is why HED created its 11-Speed Freehub Body Conversion Kit. Now, converting your 10-speed wheels to 11 is easy as a couple turns of the wrench
HED's 11-Speed Freehub Body Conversion Kit makes it possible to install an 11-speed cassette on HED wheels from 2013 to present.
In the kit, you'll find a spacer for Shimano/SRAM 8/9/10 cassettes. It's important to note that most wheels will need to be re-dished by approximately 1mm. Also, the H3 and the Jet and Stinger disc wheels are not convertible.

Is it okay not to use spacers AT ALL? I have this freehub body on a new set of Ardennes Black (i.e. no conversion was necessary). My question is about the included spacers. I tried putting on the cassette with just ONE spacer (the thinner HED spacer) and could not get the last (11) cog all the way on. The only way I found to get the whole cassette on was to use no spacers. Is it okay not to use spacers?
Purchased HED Jet 5 Express wheel-set summer of 2013. Will this fit and work for it? Reason I asked is that I found another site stating that there are actually two different (sizes) versions of this 11 speed converter. One was designed for 2010-2012 wheels and the other for 2013 onward. Even though I purchased mine in 2013, not so sure if it was left over from previous years.

I have H3D 2012 with 12mm axle. I contacted HED cycling and they confirmed that it can be convertible. Will this conversion kit will fit my wheel or do I need to place a special order for a conversion kit that fits my wheel?
I had to get a different end cap from HED for that to work with a 2013 ardennes. I would double check with your specific wheel to see if anything else is needed to make a proper conversion. evidently the conversion is not always as simple as it would seem. They will want specifics on your wheel.
