I love love love this board. Super fun in good waves. Don't be afraid of the volume when sizing and run it as a quad, you won't be disappointed. No durability issues by the way.

Even though I live on Kauai, I ordered my board from Backcountry because the local shops have very little inventory on hand. It arrived quickly and undamaged. I want to add a quick word about the construction in response to another review on this site--the vast majority of epoxy, pop-out boards from virtually every major brand are made in the Cobra factory in Thailand, regardless of whether you buy the board from the manufacturer or a shop. The exception is boards that are custom made. Having said that, the quality of this board is excellent--it's very light and snappy and I have yet to ding it. I surf 4 or 5 times a week and I've had the board for a month now. I've surfed it in waves anywhere from chest high to a few feet overheard and love it. The first thing I noticed was how easily it paddles due to extra foam in the chest area and the relatively flat rocker. It's a wave-catching machine. The second thing is how fast the board is, especially when set up as a quad (although I prefer it as a thruster.) Lastly, it is a very snappy turner due to it's rounded pin tail. I think it would work in smaller surf, but it really shines once the waves get chest high and above.

Bought my hypto on backcountry but it?s not the same quality as the original. These are mad in Thailand and get dinged up quite easily. Spend the extra money and buy directly from HS
