Replacing the popular Proaxis in the Hardy lineup, the all-new Zephrus SWS is made with Hardy's Sintrix 440 blank configuration, delivering a lighter, stronger, and all around better in-hand feel than its predecessor. The Zephrus maintains that fast action casting feel that made the Proaxis so popular among saltwater enthusiasts, but it now has more power to make those long distance casts, without sacrificing the lightness needed to make precise 30-35 yard casts, as well as those delicate presentations necessary to hook skittish fish nearby.

Being the SWS version of the Zephrus, this rod is set up to handle highly corrosive salt water fisheries. The anodized barstock 6061 aluminum spacer will resist rust and wear if you inadvertently dunk your rod, and the up-locking reel seat offers a secure connection between your rod and reel. The black pearl recoil guides are shatter-resistant and offer a smooth and fast feel as your lines passes through them. When you do hook into that big one, the powerful butt section will give you the power needed to bring that fiesty fish into the boat, while the extended handle with fighting butt will give you some extra leverage over those fish that refuse to cooperate.
