    It's got history.

When you’ve been making reels for more than a century, you get pretty good at it. The Hardy Ultralite SDSL exemplifies this skill, with fully machined aluminum construction giving it a stunning appearance. The carbon fiber disc drag system is fully sealed and able to generate up to 16lb of force, and the regulator is color coded with 340 degrees of adjustment. The system is saltwater safe and features a captive spool release system so you can easily change your line while on the water.

    • 340-degree regulator for precise adjustment
    • Captive spool release system eases spool changes

let this reel do the work!!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The drag on this reel is super ez to adjust even in the heat of battle. Can put loads of backing on this. My 11wt held 600yard and a 12wt line and it still had room. Great line pick up to bring it all back in as well. After a week on the sea of Cortez you would have thought I’d been fishing from a boat on a freshwater lake. Not a grain of sand got in to the drag, even after repeated dunks in the salty sandy waves. Looks pretty too.

Light reel with heavy-duty drag. I bought this in a 10/11/12 to go with my 10wt Hardy Zephrus. Handled several big roosterfish with ease. Super smooth drag. Flawless performance. Very happy with it!!
