    Rugged Mountain Pant

Your adventures stray from the trail and often times put you in range of abrasive contact with rocks and branches. The Haglofs Rugged Mountain Pants provide the durability you need to navigate winding canyons and stream beds thanks to their heavyweight Climatic fabric and FlexAble reinforcement panels at the knees and seat. A DWR treatment sheds water whether it's precipitating or splashing up from a puddle while reinforced insteps provide extra defense against mud. Zippered vents maximize airflow as you work up a sweat on steep ascents, and the hem width adjusts for a proper interface with whatever footwear you need for the day.

    I love these pants!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 5'2"
    • Weight: 130lbs

Haglofs absolutely nailed it with the Rugged Mountain Pant by creating the perfect combination of performance, comfort, durability and style in a single layer. While I typically have to layer to get every feature I want (like waterproofing, durability and warmth) these pants are pretty much everything I want in just one pant.

I mostly use these pants for hiking/backpacking, although they are so comfortable, I would wear them climbing or even in town after a day in the mountains. I would use this pair specifically over other pants because they are extremely durable without compromising the comfort. Haglofs’ use of their Climatic fabric makes these pants wind resistant and weather protective yet still flexible. They are soft against the skin, stretchy due to the FlexAble reinforcement panels at the knees and seat, and are fitted through the hips and thighs, so not too baggy and actually look flattering on.

I wore these when I went backpacking in the Sawtooths in Idaho at the end of September. It was pretty cold and it snowed/rained all 4 days I was out there. These pants came in so clutch because they kept me warm and the rain and snow just rolled off. I also liked the zipper location, right on the anterior thigh, because I had easy access to my phone to snap lots of photos! Additionally, there was a smaller pocket inside the zippered pocket that was just the right size for my ID and debit card. My favorite feature of the pants is the adjustable hem width. At 5’1”, I am short and have a hard time finding pants that are the right length. These helped cinch the bottom so they weren’t too long. They can also fit over hiking boots to keep mud out.

I would recommend these pants to any female who wants a versatile pair of pants that can do it all, especially in cool temperatures or wet/winter weather. Durable, stretchy, flattering, these pants could be used for hiking, climbing or even just wearing around town. They are a pair of hiking pants that I enjoy wearing just as much as a pair of leggings or sweatpants!

    I love these pants!

    Durable & Stylish

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 38
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 130lbs

Haglofs design is always on point, and these pants are no exception. They're tapered in a very flattering way, but have plenty of room/flex to move around. I also really enjoy being able to cinch and button the ankles to keep in heat. On the flip side, the leg vents are great for staying cool if you're really sending it up a trail. There's a wonderful amount of pockets, and the thigh pockets are perfect for a phone, a knife, or some snacks.

These pants kept me warm, cool and dry while on my weekend backpacking trip up Mount Timpanogos. The Haglofs definitely aren't the lightest hiking pant, but the tradeoff is that they're super durable and functional. So in cooler climates (especially in the fall/winter) and in rough, dirty, rocky terrain these pants are perfect.

    Men can wear ladies pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 40
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 175lbs

I prefer the cut of the women's rugged mountain pant so I bought these in a 40 (I wear a size 32 mens pant) They are super comfortable, durable, and look really impressive while not being overly "rugged" or in your face that you like to backpack, hike, and just spend time in nature. These are such a great pant, and will accompany on my trip to Iceland!

    Great Mountain Pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 5'6"
    • Weight: 135lbs

I originally tried on the 38 but had to size down to the 36 because the waist was just too big on me. It fit with the velcro but I didn't want to rely on that. For reference, I am typically a size 6. The material is nice and thick. Great for spring mountaineering, hiking in the winter, and hiking when the weather is questionable. I love that there are vents on the upper thigh, great pockets and an adjustable ankle to fit with boots or to cinch when you're wearing approach shoes.
