Get into some new territory.
Getting into more remote and rugged places requires a stout pair of boots that will give your ankles the support they need to carry a heavy pack, and the Haglöfs Men's Oxo GT Hiking Boots are well-equipped for the task. Their durable and water-resistant nubuck upper is backed by a Gore-Tex membrane, making creek crossings, rainy days, and muddy trails not much of a problem. For comfort, the boots feature a supportive and cushioning footbed, which sits atop a dual-density midsole. SpEVA and Solyte materials in the midsole increase cushioning, resist breakdown, and shave overall weight from the boot.

i have put many miles on Haglofs Trail shoes both low and hightop versions. They work great for long walks and light hiking. The Oxo Gt is a different shoe. Bulky and high but light weight. It offers very little support, out of the box comfort for sure but not a boot for rough trails or backpacking . But then I prefer old school leather. These may ideal for urban winter slush walks or perhaps as a snowshoeing boot.

I had no problems with the sizing (as the other reviewer did). I wear a 12 UK/47 EU, so I ordered the 12 UK, even though the conversion said it would be a 12.5 US and not a 13. They fit great! The only negative thing I can say about them is that the gusseted tongue fabric is kind of bulky and interferes slightly with the laces. I could see it becoming a potential wear issue (as in the tongue fabric getting worn) after many years of hard use. However, that won't be happening to mine, so it won't be a problem! I love the quality of Haglofs footwear (this is my 3rd pair) - my biggest issue with them is that you can't find them anywhere in the US! Kudos to Backcountry for finally getting a few styles!
Runs 1 Size Smaller
Everything about this boot is awesome except it runs 1 size smaller! My size is 12.5 and I purchased size 13. I tried it on with wool socks and it felt smaller than size12! I had to return it!
