    Body-mapped performance.

Sure, you've got a ways to go to get to that couloir you were eyeing this morning, and the boot pack is no joke, but the Haglöfs Men's Mimic Hybrid Jacket wants to help. You might have shed your shell to keep cool, but you'll be grateful for the body-mapped insulation provided by the QuadFusion Mimic, which, as the name implies, imitates the warmth and lightweight nature of down, but with one key difference—this baffled section is covered by water-resistant Pertex, so should it get soaked while you're digging a snow pit, it will still keep your core warm. The rest of the jacket is stripped of insulation, reducing bulk and providing performance stretch and breathability for the heart pounding approach to your chosen line.

    • Hybrid insulated layering piece for big mountain ski adventures
    • Pertex face fabric is water- and wind-resistant to keep you warm
    • Insulated for core warmth without extra bulk getting in the way
    • Side panels offer stretchy performance while you pole plant
    • Semi-fitted cut provides easy layering for on-piste play days
    • Item #HAG00GV

Hot in the middle and cool on the sides

This jacket truly surpassed my expectations! Hybrid pieces like this aren't new but few really stand out like this. The synthetic insulation could have easily fooled me as down, not just for its compressibility but its warmth!
Great layering piece for resort riding or backcountry tours. With only minimal venting I'm able to not cook on warm days and boot packs. Winter climbing was nice to have a jacket that didn't make me over heat or have to worry about snagging a sleeve on sharp rocks.
It may look a little silly when being worn in town but.. thats not what I got it for.
Pros: Weight. Packability. Warmth. Athletic fit.
Cons: While hiking with a pack on it gets sweaty on the back, as expected. Other than that there are features other pieces have that I would love on this like a stuff sack pocket or thumb loops.
All in all this is a great mid layer for climbers, skiers and splitboarder looking for a versatile piece thats on the warmer side of hybrid style jackets. This thing is surprisingly "lofty"!
My next puffy coat will be a Haglofs

The 'warm but breathable' category category has exploded over the last few years, and this piece is now leading the way. After several ski tours with it, I find it has the perfect combination of insulation and breathability for winter ski tours. The insulation feels just like down - both in terms of touch and heat - but the sleeves let the breeze come through to cool you down at the same time. I found the fit to be pretty trim, but I see that as a big plus because it's not bulky when I throw the hardshell over it as the snow comes down. It packs down well, though I don't imagine I'll be taking it off much this winter!

    Awesome, lightweight base layer!

The mimic hybrid is definitely exactly what it states... An unreal baselayer that keeps your core warm yet is still breathable and doesn't get in the way.

I have attached a photo from an adventure I went on while rocking this jacket. It was a cold, damp morning and I got absolutely drenched from the moisture on some leaves during the approach. The mimic hybrid got wet along with me, yet still managed to hold up and keep me warm.

I also wear it around the city and still manage to look "spiffy."

    Awesome, lightweight base layer!
