Burly duffel for your adventures!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I got this and right away, just blown away by the design and how well put together this is! The stitching is in all the right areas to support a lot of weight, that is if you are carrying a ton of gear on a crazy mountain goal. The fabric is very resistant to weather and really anything, so rest assured. Your gear is going to be safe when flying or on long road trips. What is great about this duffel, it stuffs in it's own pocket and you can stow it away nicely as it does not take up much room at all. Haglof does it again with there gear and for the price! You get insane quality if you compare to say another duffel company.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I'm stoked on my new Lava duffel, got to take it on a trip this past week and it was awesome! It has just enough compartments for anything you could possibly need. It also doesn't take up as much space as you would think ( I used it for my carry on). Another key piece to this bag is you can pack it back into itself when you're not using it making it super small so it doesn't take up any space in the closet. Overall super impressed with the duffel and the quality of the bag. if you're looking for a duffel for your next trip look no further!
New Duffel, Stoked!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I just got this duffel and haven't had the chance to take it out in the wild yet but have some first impressions to share.
Side by side to a 90L Black Hole duffel the Lava is shorter in length, about the same width, and taller. They both fit the same amount of gear but you can fit more in to the lid pocket in the Haglofs duffel because it's a bit longer and it's not divided in to two categories. I like this style because it fits in the trunk of a subaru a bit better :)
Speaking of pockets, this back keeps it pretty simple with the main compartment, lid pocket, and one side pocket that's a few inches deep and as big as the side of the duffel. It's perfect for dirty clothes storage, a pair of boots, or a couple pair of shoes.
The fabric itself is super durable and has a nylon backing on the inside for added durability. I think you could chuck this off a building and it'd still be solid!
I look forward to using this on upcoming camping trips and report back when I get to test it out more thoroughly.
All Haglofs bags can pack up into a separate compartment on the inside of the bat. Pictured here is the 50L. Imagine this, but a little bigger, and you get the 90L.

There is a separate compartment for dirty clothing, or really anything else
