L.I.M Touring Proof Jacket
The Haglöfs Women's L.I.M Touring Proof Jacket is a backcountry-specific ski jacket built to pack small, weigh less, and provide the utmost waterproofing and breathable comfort. Its Proof membrane boasts high waterproof, breathable ratings, and it's also windproof to cut back the brisk chills that leave you shivering on the skin track. Haglöfs made the jacket out of durable Cordura with a four-way stretch for freedom of movement. If you're sweating on the skin track, this jacket's torso pockets double as ventilators to amplify airflow. The hood boasts a three-way adjustment for a precise fit, and its laminated visor stays out of eyesight. There are more adjustments at the cuffs and hem to seal out the snow.

Great minimalist backcountry jacket

This shell really does do it all. Having a stretchy jacket, that's still waterproof, windproof, and breathable really changes the game when you're out there turning and burning. The side pockets can be used for ventilation, or to store your skins. I love the retro look of this jacket, with the cinched cuffs and waist. I did think it ran a little smaller & shorter than other touring jackets I've tried on, so that's something to consider with sizing. I wear most touring jackets in a size small, but I wear a medium in this jacket. All in all, this is a great jacket if you don't need all the extra bells and whistles.

I love this jacket so much! I used it for a week of ski touring and adventuring in the Norwegian fjords and it was so perfect. It feels and fits more like a softshell but performs as good as my gore-tex hardshells. The fabric is soft and stretchy but entirely waterproof. I've worn it in rain and snow storms and it always keeps me dry. Because the fabric is softer on the outside I do find that it wets out earlier than my gore-tex jackets over it's lifetime but it does bounce back after a wash and dry with nikwax. I was a little worried when I didn't see pit zips on the jacket but the front pockets are backed with mesh so they act as the vents! So simple. The jacket does breath really well on the skin track so I don't often find I need to open up the vents anyway.
