Even if your new touring protege is a rippin' rider, the lowered DIN release range of 2-7 is far more safe and accessible to lighter, smaller skiers. Four heel riser heights make the transition from riding lifts to hiking much smoother, and locking the bindings into downhill mode is a breeze.
