    Good Enough

Let’s be honest, I can post another anecdotal, unsubstantiated review about protein on the Internet...but I won’t waste your time. GU’s ingredients are clean enough (could be better), taste pretty good when mixed with milk and supply enough nutrients for post-workout gains. If you don’t buy this you aren’t missing out, but the canister size does provide a good value.

      Good Taste, but better Recovery

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

A good tasting recovery mix makes it that much easier to commit to proper recovery and growing as a rider. I am no coach but I do feel this mix has consistently given me a better step into each following ride and workout. I see plenty more of this in my future

      2nd bucket down!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is our 3nd canister, My wife and I feel like it does actually help with the recovery after hard workouts. Right now I am training for a Triathlon and my wife is training for a marathon. We mix our drinks with frozen banana's and milk. We will be getting another when this runs out.

      My Dad Loves It

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I ended up giving this to my dad because there is whey in this drink mix and I don't process dairy well. I swear he raves about this stuff every time he comes back from the gym. He tells me how he doesn't feel dead the next day due to this stuff and has already asked me for a second bottle. Thanks GU for keeping my dad active!

      Great Recovery Mix!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been using this for about a month now, and have really been digging the results. I participate in mountain sports such as running, hiking, and rock climbing where I need a good post activity re-fuel. This stuff works well, and helps me recover more quickly after big days or even big work outs in the gym. Like Andy said before me--Mix with milk. I use unsweetened almond milk, and really like the taste.

      Carb loading

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The amount of carbs in this gives me to boost not to be sucked into the couch for hours after 10 plus miles in the draining summer sun. Wish gu used more organic ingredients to have a healthy refuel. Mix with milk! This stuff doesn't taste too great with water. Overall a solid product for recovery.

Good tasting recovery drink I use a lot

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After a hard/long session or race drinking a recovery drink with protein after helps a lot, GU Brew is also really convenient and fast, especially with the individual packs. I really like the taste of the chocolate and strawberry recovery drinks, especially compared to other brands I have tried. I also put them in a blender w ice and fresh strawberries (for the strawberry watermelon.) I also drank a lot of these when I was nursing and training as I seemed to need a lot of extra fluids and protein.

      No thanks after reading ingredients

Seriously, why would you put this stuff in your body? Fructose? Maltodextrin? Soy Lecithin? No thank you! They probably use GMO soy as well. Not sure what the benefits are of drinking this stuff, but I'm not going to trust putting it in my body!
