Very efficient use of space, leaving room to pack a few more things inside. Perfect for backpacking or camping especially if you're cooking for two.

So Wonderful

I would not make a single change! This set is absolutely great. Every piece of space is used perfectly. I upgraded from a set bought 15 years ago and it was totally worth it.

All You Need

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

We boguht this to help organize our car camping bin and it's exactly what we hoped for! It's very lightweight so it would be great for backpacking too if you wanted to make some good food. There's room in the cups for little extras here and there and the pans are great quality.

Perfect for Backpacking

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this cook set for backpacking and absolutely love it. It is lightweight and durable. Everything fits conveniently into the dishpan and there is plenty of room to store other things - like utensils, coffee, etc. inside it as well. The pot & pan appear to be pretty durable as well.

Can't beat it.

I've used this thing a lot....like A WHOLE LOT. Everything from a few Mountain House meals to serving up stew, meat, and hot cocoa. My absolute favorite part is the stacking cups. You get two regular and two insulated (the insulation works fairly well, I drink tea out of it pretty frequently) They're also big enough to put a load of stuff in. I keep a stove, GSI Spice Rocket, scraper, the pot handle, extra lighter, spices, tea...I'm sure I'm forgetting some things...and that's just in the cups! There's room left in the pot to keep two fuel canisters, a stove stand, and a few sporks. The skillet was another big selling point. I love that it and the pot are non-stick, it makes cleanup so easy when you're doing eggs and bacon. Having a 2L pot is great as well. I love making spaghetti when we're car camping, the included lid has a strainer built in that's basically MADE for noodles. It also fits on the frypan if you ever feel like you need it. To top it all off, the stuff sack doubles as a sink. You honestly couldn't ask for a more rounded cook set at this price. A little heavy, but I'm not taking anything this crazy on a backpacking trip.

Big and very mobile. I hope it will last for years because I do a lot of backpacking.

Perfect for backpacking

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I wish you could use the pot and pan over a camp fire (I might try anyway), but other than that it's perfect. There's room to pack my camp stove, instant coffee, utensils, etc. Smart, versatile design.

Couldn't get any better

Perfect. It is very light weight and has everything you need for cooking, eating, or anything with food. The smaller containers can hold boiling water and you can drink out of them. It is also very durable. This is perfect for sharing with another backpacker, because it has 4 cups. It is also very easy to clean. Pure perfection, I would totally recommend this.

Perfect for outdoor cooking

I bought this set last year and have used it on 20+ camp outs and other adventures. It has performed better than expected and it still looks very good too. I love how the cups stack within themselves - this has been very helpful when friends have forgotten their mess kits and I always have an extra to give out. Everything fits together nicely and the quality is outstanding - none of the pots or cups feel like they are flimsy. The pot and pan work excellent for making omelets, chili, soups, boiling water and everything is so easy to clean too. My one suggestion would be to not use the plastic lid when you are using the fry pan. I did and mine started to melt because it was too close to the hot flame. Just stick with lower heat if you do this or just use the lid on the pot. I can't recommend the Pinnacle set enough. Buy it!

brilliant

Familiarity:

my boyfriend and I do a lot of camping out of the car, we generally pack our cooler full of food and figure out what exactly it is that we are cooking once we are hungry and ready to eat. This cooking set is perfect for us because it allows for that versatility in a cook set. I haven't used it for backpacking yet, but it is going to be what I end up using, there is certainly enough room to pack a little something extra in it as well.

Better than my home kitchen

I love this cookset! it has everything I need and stuff I didn't know I needed . I have broadened my camp cooking horizons.

Love it!

This set is awesome. It's just perfect for two, maybe more. The mugs are cool - they are insulated and have sippy lids for hot coffee. I'd use them for travel mugs if only they would fit in my car's cup holders. The pan grip is well-designed, it actually clips in to whichever pot/pan is on the stove! Strainer is smartly designed as part of the lid, I also used it as a little cutting board. Room for your sporks, tea/coffee, spices, etc. inside.

functional meets fancy

The strainer feature is sleek and smart. These are light and compact, but definitely made for cooking up some gourmet meals. They are awesome for rafting trips, backpacking, and for people who like to survive off of more than packages of mashed potatoes.

Dinner for 2?

This cooking kit has enough room in it for my utensils and my stove. I have made freeze dried dinners to fajitas and beyond. This will be a hard item to beat.
