Just the right size

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had originally purchased the orange one in the liter size but it had no handle. Instead of sending it back I gave it to my boss as she's a Denver Broncos fan and it's a very similar color. So I bought the half liter in green and I use it often. It will keep coffee hot for about thirteen or fourteen hours tops. I don't have a clue how long it will keep things cold as I bought this specifically for coffee. I usually carry it in my lunch bag and there's still plenty of room for everything else. The lid doubles as a cup and the stopper is designed to pour through when opened a couple turns. I've had it dribble on a couple occasions but I still like the size and design.

Too bulky for the backcountry

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I was looking for a thermos to pack with me into the backcountry and was super disappointed when this came in. It's very bulky and space in-efficient. I didn't use it so can't attest to it's insulation ability, but with how bulky it is, I'd expect it to insulate very well. If you're looking for something simple and compact, this isn't it. With that said, it's probably great as a thermos for work/car/surfing if you're not concerned with space efficiency.

not quite full...but pretty darn close.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased this specifically for two mediums: work & hockey. I debated between this & the 1L size. being it that I'm a "light & fast" type, less=more, this fits the bill. at work I bring hot water with a slice of lemon & to the rink or pond, chai. getting the lemon inside isn't quite the squeeze (he he!) that it is getting it out. it's not hugely problematic, but a wider-mouth certainly wouldn't hurt. I appreciate that the bottom of this vessel. it adequately grips whatever surface it is placed upon. If only this feature were added to the vessel body as to make holding it (with arms full especially) less of a juggling act. the cup itself is well insulated & holds the heat for a good 10 minutes before it turns hot-to-warm. the vessel yields about 3-4 full cups worth, which is good enough to cut the mustard when all you want is hot drink to get the blood flowing. if you're looking to float downstream, I suggest the full liter. cleaning is simple & air dry works best.
