    Collapsible Java Drip

Gourmet coffee is usually reserved for overpriced shops—unless you have the GSI Outdoor Collapsible Java Drip. Easy to use makes a great cup of jo

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This little coffee gadget packs down small making it super portable. It's also easy to use. Downside is you still need to buy a filter. It's cone shaped so buy filters accordingly!

    Still need a filter

So I wanted something minimalist for one cup of coffee. Realized when it arrived I still have to use a filter and was hoping to avoid adding extra things to my packing so didn’t keep it

      Very cool dripper

Love this for pour over coffee on vacation or in the wild. The collapsible design is great and allows for easy packing. Functions well also, the same as a melitta or hario dripper.

      Say goodbye to cowboy coffee!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Best $13 ever spent for backpacking. Say goodbye to "eh it works" coffee methods in the backcountry. This pour over system is so easy and compact! I used it with my partner on a 5 day trip in the Bob Marshal and it was so much better than the insta coffee our other companions were drinking. More recently it's made its way into our scamp camper where space is cramped and it's a great addition there too!

      Car Camping

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I took the Collapsible Java Drip on an extended car-camping trip, and it made the morning coffee set-up super easy. I used the silicone drip over both mugs and tumblers, depending on whether I was staying put or on the move. It's easy to use, easy to clean, and packs down flat.

      Get The Coffee!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The hubs and I have long used a GSI Java press, but it's a bit of a pain-in-the-butt to clean and what not. Not to mention it's hella bulky. So, we opted to try the Java Drip and it's certainly amenable! Packs down really flat and is easy to clean. Makes pretty decent coffee, too. I wouldn't recommend reusing the grounds though - it's a very one-and-done kind of drip device. We often use it with the Hydroflask tumbler 22oz, and the system works pretty flawlessly.

      I love this thing

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is about as basic as it gets, but it's what I needed. I use it for car camping and backpacking, as it packs down super small. I, like many, can't go without coffee so it's totally worth carrying the extra few ounces to have delicious, real coffee on the trail. it cleans up super easily, so no need to run it through water like some with a built in filter.
