Drift 10L Backpack

The Gregory Drift 10L Backpack provides enough space for cranking out miles on the trail, yet low-profile enough to comfortably ride the lift on epic downhill days. The dedicated hydration sleeve comes with Gregory's 3D Hydro Reservoir for a comfortable fit that keeps 3 liters of water just a bite-valve away. The load is lifted by the Shift RS Suspension system which adjusts for a customized fit—moving up or down your back for a comfortable riding position. The Drift also features the Matrix Ventilation System which combines a foam matrix in the back panel with mesh construction, ensuring that your back and shoulders receive plenty of airflow. The low volume is complemented by a stretchy front pocket which expands your storage options to include space for an extra layer or rain jacket. Bike-specific organization system includes dedicated storage for pumps, tools, energy bars, and everything else you could need.

Great hydration pack

We are a hiking family. This pack has ample room for items typically carried in a day pack as well as a sufficient water source. It all worked really well.

Great Quality Bag

This Gregory bag is my everyday bag essentially. Use it hiking, kayaking, and daily at the gym. Easy to fill bladder and lots of room. Pretty light, and plenty of air movement afforded between the material and my body

Bombproof MTB backpack

This a great pack that has solid construction and functionality. All of the pockets, storage slots, and zipper access point are well thought out. This also works well as a small day hiker. Holds plenty of water...have never run out on medium to long rides.

Pack is good. Bladder and magnet are poor.

Backpack is good, bladder setup needs work. The hose is a little short coming out of the pack and the magnetic clip is pretty poor, which is the main reason I bought this pack. Disappointed overall. It is really weak and comes loose on very slight bumps.

A good, but not great bag and hydration system

The good up front: it’s a good dad bag. I carry all my MTB tools, a first aid kit, spare tubes, etc.; It carries lots of water and has a good pocket for my phone. It’s pretty comfortable. The bad: the bladder has leaked a couple of times. You really have to tighten it and turn it upside down to confirm it is closed. It could do with a cover over the mouth piece as MTBing is a dirty sport. Florida humidity is corroding the zippers.

This pack is perfect for medium to long MTB rides

The experts at Gregory thought of everything. Not only is the pack light, it will fit everything you will need for a medium to long ride. It’s also extremely adjustable so that it will fit well and feel like a part of you. I am loving the 3 liters water capacity and hydration system for those hot summer rides. It’s also great pack for guiding beginners on shorter rides when you want your clients to carry less so they can do more.

Update: “love this pack…after a little DIY mod’ing

Starting my third mountain biking season with this pack, still very pleased with it. However, I had to do one more DIY modification: I couldn’t stand any longer how far back the pockets are on the waist belt, not being able to see what I’m doing when putting things in/taking things out of them, and the difficult angle for doing so. So I cut the belt in half and used strips of adhesive velcro to fashion “extension straps” that work well with the belt’s velcro attachment surfaces. This lengthened the waist belt enough (about 4”) to get those pockets just far enough forward on my hips that I can see and more easily reach them. OMG, huge relief!

Love this pack...after a little DIY mod'ing

I use the Drift for mountain biking (and some hiking). It's a superb pack, although I had to do a little DIY modifying to get it closer to just how I want it. It's a day-pack, for sure; don't expect to get the kitchen sink in it. PROs: Excellent quality Light weight Adjustable suspension system for waist belt is terrific Good organization; main compartment is surprisingly roomy Pockets on waist belt Outer stretch pocket Perfect size hydration bladder (3L) for me (For a 2-3 hour ride, I might not fill it all the way up, but on a super-hot day or for a longer ride, I might need all 3L of water.) WHAT I MODIFIED: Removed all of the plastic "strap retainers"-unnecessary and really annoying Removed the compression straps, including the female part of the buckle attached to the pack-unnecessary and not really very useful located so high on the pack (just interferes with access) Removed the "Sunglasses Holder"-not useful (if I did use it, I'd always worry about scratching my glasses) Added "chapstick holder"-This is the single item that I reach for the most, and I want it easy to get at. I cut out the stitching at the top of what used to be the sunglasses holder, and I have a perfect-sized, easily accessible little sleeve high on the shoulder strap. I would never buy a pack that didn't have either mesh pockets on the sides or, as in this unusual case, pockets on the waist belt, so that some things can be reached (or snack wrappers stowed) without taking the pack off. The waist belt pockets are useful but imperfect; they're farther back then I expected, making it hard to look down and see what's in them, as well as to zip/unzip and get things in and out from that angle. As a result, you really don't want to put more than two items in a pocket, 'cuz you'll be getting them in and out by feel. That's why I was so pleased to be able to DIY a different place for my lip balm ;) (BTW, I can *just* fit my iPhone 7 in a waist belt pocket.)

Fantastic MTB and Trail Running Pack

I bought a Drift 6 liter for my son and I liked it so much I bought the 10 liter. I'm using this bag almost every day either for a mountain bike ride or a trail run/fast hike. It's roomy enough to hold a long sleeve shirt or light fleece or rain jacket, snacks, and 3 liters of water. It's super well organized with a stuff pouch on the outside where I throw a collapsible dog bowl and water bottle for the dog. The main pocket forward of the water pocket hold snacks, and has organizers for a tool kit, pump, tube, whatever. Mine also came with a small removable zipper bag that can hold tools, first aid kit, etc. And one of my favorite features is the "crash pad", a padded zipper pocket high on the back of the pack for a phone. The pack also cinches down really well so when riding it's not sloshing around, even with 3 liters of water (though for most trips with this bag, I only put 1-1.5 liters in; it's just not big enough for a trip long enough that I drink 3 liters of water. But I used the hydration pack in 2 other Gregory bags, so it's all good.
