Don’t believe the positive reviews.

I'm a 5'11", 185 Ib male, and a fit/fast hiker. I just received the Citro 24 (with bladder included) and it is a major, major let down. I currently do longer day hikes (10+ miles) with the Gregory Miwok 18, which is a great pack, but I am a big sweater regardless of temps and always end up drenching the back of my shorts. I wanted a pack with a suspension back to solve this problem, and the Citro seemed like a perfect fit. Nothing could be further from the truth: 1) The suspension system is absolute garbage and useless because there is zero suspending occurring. With the bladder full, the suspension part presses directly onto your back and onto the bladder. It literally does not suspend. There is no space between your back, the suspension, and the pack. None. 2) The reviews that criticize the volume of this pack are accurate. With the bladder full, it cutsdeeply into the main section volume. I mean, it REALLY reduces the volume. 3) The hip belt pockets are tiny. I could barely fit two gel packs in here with the pack on. The interior pocket is tiny as well, and the front exterior pocket has a weird thick divider in it that takes up volume for no reason. 4) The external water bottle pockets are loose, and you run the risk of the water bottle falling out when bending over. The compression straps don't cross over the water bottles to prevent this (like they do in my Miwok). This pack is great in theory but poorly executed. Don’t fall for the marketing ploys and discounts to entice you into buying one.

Great pack

I already have a Gregory Miwok 12 and a Baltoro 74, but needed something in-between for a week of hiking in Yellowstone/Grand Teton. Perfect size day pack. No complaints

Great Daypack!

Used on multiple hikes. Holds a LOT of water, more than you’ll probably need for >10 mile hikes. Great pockets for snacks on the trip, super comfortable waiststrap/hip padding as well!

Great Product

Amazing pack that’s just the right size for a day hike or even bike ride. It sits just right so that it’s comfortable keeps you from getting too much back sweat. The only thing I could possibly critique is the water hose doesn’t have a good way of securely fastening without it being a 10 second endeavor to get it unhooked.

Not for me

Too big and my arms rubbed against sides while walking. I had to return it. Also, customer support was not very helpful.

Initial thoughts…Well constructed pack

I purchased the backpack several weeks ago and will use it the first time in several days. So comments are based on initial impressions. Looks to be well built. No loose threads and nothing was missing. Love the ability to make multiple adjustments on shoulder straps so that you can adjust the backpack to ride in hipbones plus the ability to snug the top of the shoulder straps. Lots of pockets and I like the ability to carry phone or sunglasses in the pocket in the waist belt. It’s a well thought out backpack.

So close to the ideal pack.

My one gripe with this pack is the size of the water bottle pockets, as others have mentioned. Ridiculous that they cannot fit nalgenes. That said, the included bladder is great, very easy to disassemble to clean and dry quickly (the included hanging hook is ingenious). The floating back panel works wonderfully to keep moisture buildup to a minimum, and the pack is comfortable with about 10-15 lbs of weight. overall, great pack if you don't use nalgenes.

Great little pack, I wish I had gone slightly larger though. I haven't used the bladder yet but I would imagine it would take up most of the space and wouldn't leave much space for anything else
