    Blaze 60L Backpack

If you're looking for a reliable go-to pack for any and all of your extended trips on the trail, look no further than the Granite Gear Blaze 60L Backpack. This pack is about as well-rounded as it gets, offering you a comfortable and custom carry, a super durable construction, and a lightweight design to ensure that you won't have any extra weight with you when you're trudging those last few miles into camp. It's got multiple adjustment points to ensure that your carry is always as comfortable as possible, including both height and hipbelt adjustment systems to keep your fit precise and anatomically correct. The Air Current frame helps to keep you cool on warmer summer hikes, and compression straps on the side help you pull your load in for greater stability.

Not only will this pack make it easy to lay down long miles on the trail, but it's also got loads of smart design features to help you thrive in the backcountry. To start, the top lid is removable, and can be attached to the shoulder straps as a chest pack when you want to lighten your pack load and keep quick-access items like snacks and maps closer by. It can also be attached to the removable hipbelt to make a lightweight lumbar pack, giving you the perfect storage for peak-bagging summit trips. A large stretch mesh pocket runs the length of the front panel and lets you store rain shells, tent poles, and extra gear, while a convenient side zipper ensures that you can access hard-to-reach items in your pack without having to root around from the top.

    • Reliable and well-rounded pack for extended backpacking trips
    • Frame and hipbelt both fully adjust to fit your measurements better
    • Removable top lid can be used as a chest or lumbar pack

    My favorite pack ever!

    Familiarity:I've used it several times

I have been backpacking since 1990 and have owned a few packs since then including Mystery Ranch, Kifaru, ULA, Gregory and Lowe. This is my favorite! It strikes the perfect balance between empty weight, comfort, size and choice of materials. I used it on the 4 Pass loop here in Colorado for 4 days this summer and it was awesome. Now I just need to figure out if I can sell some of my other packs I will not be using again... My only gripe is that I wish it was USA made like my MR Kodiak, ULA, and Kifaru.

    Game Changer

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This pack was a total game changer for me. I have scoliosis and so heavy packs tend to make any back pain even worse and can be difficult to wear to extended periods. This pack is so light and so easy to efficiently pack that I was able to backpack Mt Whitney with the least amount of back pain I've ever experienced. Big pockets on the waist belt and easy front zipper access allowed me to get to gear easily throughout the hike. The compression strap allowed me to use this as a daypack for the climb. Overall, would highly recommend!

Great for Quick Jaunts or Extended Trips

Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So far I've only used this pack for quick overnight trips with minimal gear, sleeping bag, pad, tent, stove, and some food. The removable brain is great for short trips when you don't need the extra space, and the compression straps allow you to compress the bag down well. The whole pack seems very well built, and is loaded with well thought out features like a large stretch pocket, and large hip belt pockets. While I've only used it for short trips, it looks like it would be great for longer trips or thru hiking.
