Everyone knows that square is the more efficient shape for packing compared to the space-squandering circle, so Granite Gear designed their Air Compressor Sack in a Bloc. Not only does that save space by eliminating dead areas but allows stable stacking and a tidy fit in the corners of your pack. Tough, translucent sil-nylon Cordura construction lets you see what you've stuffed and organize with ease. Lighter than webbing system, the micro-cord and Poplock keep things lean, tight, and secure.

    • The Bloc shape fits better into the corners of your pack, stacks nicely, and eliminates dead air that occurs with round stuffsacks for added stability
    • Translucent Sil-Nylon fabric allows you to see what you've stuffed
    • Super-tough 30D sil-nylon Cordura and 210D nylon Cordura lid and arches
    • Micro-cord drawstring is lighter and leaner than webbing
    • Micro Poplock keeps maximum volume compressed
    • Fully finished seams yield a more durable construction
    • New Lineloc technology weighs in at 30% lighter than webbing compression systems
    • A variety of sizes meets all your packing needs
    • Editor’s Note: this stuff sack comes in a variety of colors; we can’t control which you’ll get, but they’re all awesome

Just make sure you get the right size

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is fairly inexpensive stuff sack that does a nice job. The main thing is to just make sure you know how big your sleeping bag is compressed so you order the right size. Otherwise pretty straight forward stuff sack.

    Does the job

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Bought this for my down sleeping bag and it does a great job protecting it on the trail. My only gripe is that the plastic pulls at the ends of the strings have all fallen off. I remedied this by just tying a stopper knot in the string but still a little annoyed that it happened.

Does what I wanted it to do.

So I got this bag for my Marmot 1p tent. I didn't really care for the bag that the tent came in ( too big). So, my plan was to put my tent in this sack and cut the tent pack size in half. Totally worked! The only thing about the sack that I don't like, is that the strings (cinch cords) don't really lock. So you just gotta tie em up.

    Great functionality

Great compression sack. the rectangular shape fits the pack better than round. it is super light weight and the cords and the walls of the sack are very durable. A little pricey, but a great piece of gear. I bought the medium at first, but returned them for the large (23L) which fills the pack better.

I have a Marmot Col -20 sleeping bag and need a stuff sack. I have an older round GG sack (size S) but it just won't fit. Can someone recommend a size of these that would work?

      Hey Peter,

So the Marmot Col Sleeping Bag: -20 Degree Down in a regular version has a packed size of 945.9 cubic inches.

945.9 cubic inches or 15.5 liters.

So for 15.5 liters, I'd suggest the 16Liter version of this stuff sack.

Shoot me an email if you have any questions at all!
