    Anything but ordinary.

Not content with merely carrying over last year's products without innovating, Gore Wear developed the Men's C7 Bib Shorts+ with Gore WindStopper Cup Technology. This technology elongates a traditional seat insert by fusing an anatomically shaped cup that slopes upwards to relieve pressure and block breezes with its Gore WindStopper material. It remains highly breathable and spreads moisture over a wider surface area, meaning you won't feel like you're slogging down the road as a sweaty mess.

Besides boasting this new Gore WindStopper Cup Technology, the C7 Bib Shorts+ are refined with an advanced multi-panel construction that supports key muscle groups, actively wicks moisture to prevent overheating, and readily breathes with its full-mesh bib upper. This advanced construction is complemented with a flat hem that won't irritate or scratch sensitive skin when you're pedaling at a rapid cadence for hours.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Gore used to make my favorite bib shorts, hands down. I have several pairs of Power, Oxygen and Xenon bibs from before they changed to the current numbering system. All are great, but the Oxygen model was always the sweet spot for me.

Then they ruined everything, by adding a panel of Windstopper to the crotch of all of their higher-end shorts. Now, I'm not sure I'll ever buy a pair of their bibs again.

Gore: Y'all do realize that people actually ride their bikes in warm weather, right? Despite what all your ad copy says, Windstopper is NOT breathable and NOT elastic. Sure, compared to competing windproof membrane tech, it is both of those things. But relative to the material of the average pair of bib shorts.... It's like riding with your junk wrapped in a plastic trash bag. Worse, the panel also forces my sensitive bits downward, where I'm constantly at risk of crushing myself on my saddle.

Catastrophically poor design decision. Maybe some people enjoy this feature, but for me it's an absolute dealbreaker. Unless/until you start making a version of each model that does not have the Windstopper panel, I'll be looking elsewhere.

Can't decide how many stars to give out here. If they had normal chamois material on the front panel, they'd be a 5, hands down. But with that dumb, restrictive hotbox up front, I'm tempted to give only 1. I'll compromise with 2. (Wouldn't 3 be splitting the difference, you might ask? Sure, but since this flaw renders them all but useless to me... 2 it is.)

Awesome Bibs, but Quality in Question...

4.5 Stars is how I really want to rate these bibs. I love everything about them, except for their durability.
First, I want to say that I purchased these bibs at a great sale price during one of CC's awesome sales. The compression in the legs is great, the chamois is thick and provides great comfort without bulk, and the windstopper cup material is very effective. I would describe the fit as
