Keep your hands protected.
The new Gore Bike Wear Road GTX Gloves, as the name clearly states, rely on a Gore-Tex insert construction that's waterproof, windproof, highly breathable, and certainly warming. We understand that this is a tall order, but Gore alone has proven itself capable of commanding such absolutes. Enough so that we can't really tell you exactly how Gore-Tex works, because it's easily the closest guarded secret in the fabric business. What we do know is that your hands will never be dryer, regardless of how bad the weather is.
However, Gore didn't stop at fabrics to keep your hands comfortable. The Road GTX gloves feature a design that's specific to road cycling, and this makeup is most predominantly displayed in the grip of the gloves. Knowing that you're applying consistent force at the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger (think of how you grip the hoods), Gore reinforced the area to resist abrasion and to strengthen the grip. Further along these lines, Gore also added both gel and foam padding to the palm of the gloves in order to absorb road vibration.
To improve your visibility to motorists in low-light conditions, Gore also added reflective accents throughout the gloves. And for easy entry and exit, the gloves feature hook-and-loop closures at the wrists.
The Gore Bike Wear Road GTX Gloves are available in the color Black and in six sizes from Small to XXX-Large.

A change of heart
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: S
I was disappointed when I first received these gloves because then are very thin compared to other winter gloves I've owned, so I already packed them for return, but before I had a chance to drop it off at UPS, I just decided to give it a try and I was surprised these thin gloves were able to keep my hands dry in the wet 38*F, so far I have used these for a few rides with temp ranging from 42-38 degrees and happy with the performance. Glad I kept them.
Run very small
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
I have a nice Gore soft-shell jacket in size XL so I know their apparel runs small. I get it, cyclists are thinner than most humans (especially in the US). But gloves? I checked the sizing chart and I should be a large like almost every other pair of gloves I own from Pearl Izumi, Assos, TNF, EMS; the ones that aren't large are medium-large. These aren't even close. Maybe they are vanity sized for a certain orange-tinted president-elect :)
Other than the sizing, they seem nice enough. Can't comment on the water profess since I am returning them. Probably won't do an exchange, don't want to take the chance.
