    Breeze-blocking brilliance.

Winning multiple awards for its ergonomic design, maximum breathability, and inclement weather protection, the Gore Bike Wear Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket offers highly stashable, year-round coverage from whipping winds, cool-to-crisp temperatures, and light precipitation. Featuring Gore's WindStopper Active Shell, the Xenon 2.0 AS Jacket is fully windproof, meaning you'll stay insulated from the strongest gusts when you're riding through open, fully exposed areas. And because it's cut for blustery conditions, you'll delight in its quiet, flap-free fit, courtesy of a tighter, streamlined design with an ergonomic collar, elastic cuffs, and partial-elastic hem.

Partial mesh lining wicks moisture where you sweat most, working in conjunction with the breathable WindStopper Active membrane to keep you cool and sweat-free. Moreover, you'll find a small zippered mesh pocket at the rear for storing small items, as well as reflective details throughout for enhanced safety after dark.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small

This is designed for 5% body fat types - racer bods - I won't even bother upsizing. Nice material and good looking design otherwise.

    A favorite jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

As others have noted, this is a race fit. It's a bit uncomfortable lounging with a latte, but on the bike it's nearly flawless. It's my go-to slim fit jacket for temps from 40-60. Typically wear it with bibs and a base later, but a snug jersey fits underneath as well.

    Gore Xenon AS

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'4"
    • Weight: 137lbs

This light windproof shell was first used on a 45 degree windy morning ride ; i wore a baselayer , thermo jersey and this w/s shell and it kept me warm and windfree . It was easily taken off and stored into my back jersey pocket once it warmed up . The fit is race fit which is how these are supposed to be worn .
I absolutely love Gore Bike Wear apparel as they have phenominal products.

    Weird fit

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 148lbs

Love this jacket, but unfortunately had to return. I'm 5 ft, 8 in, 148 lbs. Good build. Ordered large, as reviews everywhere said runs small. Arms way too long, chest/stomach way too tight. Not sure who would fit into this, but they certainly need to work on their upper body ;-)

    Runs Super Small

Buy at least 2 size up. The fabric looks nice, too bad I wasn't able to fit in.

    Runs very, very, very small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Seriously, I wear a medium in just about everything. The size guide confirmed I should order a medium. I had to double check to make sure I didn't order a women's jacket. I would have been better off with an XL, although the sleeves would have been super long. Gore made this jacket for someone with the build of a pencil.

    It looks nice though.

It race fit, just like the rest of the Xenon line. If you are slim, it will fit true to size. I wear medium in race fit jerseys of multiple brands and this jacket in Medium fits me perfectly. I'm 5'11", 150 lbs.

Iconic: The first XENON piece collected many awards and its latest edition is again a top performer. Very lightweight, packable wind chill protection with an ergonomic fit.

"After Effects" of rolling it up!

Gore Xenon AS jacket. You'll look like "Crumple Stilskin (or however you spell that!) after having this jacket rolled up...if that really matters.

Some of the wrinkles will 'fall' out after hanging up for awhile...still better to have, than to have not, when the weather changes (*not for rainy, or winter rides, though). And it's so light weight, you can always take it along.

"After Effects" of rolling it up!

Xenon Jacket inside Xenon Jersey pocket

For you non-type 'A' personalities, you can get this jacket rolled even tighter to fit even better in the pocket (or, as I do, tuck it in the outside pouch of your hydration much easier!).

    Xenon Windstopper Jacket

Showing the rather flimsy back zip works, but I wouldn't recommend putting keys or anything with a sharp/pointy edge (etc.) in it, as the mesh is extremely thin and liable to snag & tear.

You can see the partial mesh lining that helps the jacket slip on/off easier, and helps prevent the jacket from becoming clammy and, or, a sauna. It also goes part way down the arms, too.

    Xenon Windstopper Jacket

Excellent - good from 55-40 degrees

This is my 4th piece in the Xenon line. I also have the bibs, jersey and SO jacket/jersey. Fit it designed for slim bodies. I wear a medium. I'm 5'11, w/ 40" chest. The jacket is comfortable between 45-55 degree range even at base training pace. I've worn a short sleeve jersey or a long sleeve base layer only. I would give it 5 stars except for only having one rear zippered pocket. It is big enough for cell phone and keys but not a lot extra. Sometimes I ride with two pairs of gloves - heavier pair to warm up and then switch to lighter pair. I would not be able to stash the second pair of gloves in the one pocket - it's not a problem if wearing a jersey underneath but there are no pockets on my base layer. This piece is a good bridge for when it is not cold enough for the Xenon SO Jacket but a little more is needed than just a vest.

For a truly rainproof jacket, go for Gore's ALP-X 2.0 (or the new 3.0 on Gores' site). Rain-resistance is just that...resistance is futile! This is basically a windbreaker for summer (depending on what part of the country you live in, of course).

I also gave this jacket 4 starts because of the "hair net" type back "pocket". Not very durable, or sizable.

It is sufficiently water resistant for a light rain but I have not tested it during a heavy rain. Also, as noted by another reviewer, this is not the most durable jacket. It is good for road use but on a MTB ride I snagged a tree branch and it ripped a hole on a sleeve. I was able to stitch it back together and it seems to have remained water resistant and wind-proof in that area. This is still a great piece and I would buy another. I used to live in flat-lands but am now in the mountains. This jacket is excellent for mountainous terrain as it will easily pack in a jersey pocket for extended climbs, then you can put it back on and be protected from winds on descents.

Is there any difference between this jacket...

Is there any difference between this jacket and the other Xenon 2.0 AS on realcyclist (Item #GBW3125) ?
Looks identical in the photos, except the black.

      Same jacket.

I just got this jacket in the ladies, pretty nice; but keep in mind, it's only a windbreaker. The white/blk version + the coordinating jersey and shorts are very comfortable and wick perfectly. The only thing I am leary about is the so-called 'security' back zip pocket...the interior is just a very fine mesh, sort of like a fine hair net only!

As another reviewer had said on the ladies site, these are just as good as Assos, and a close match to Giordana; I have these brands, too and love them, but the Xenon line up is really quite good (though the chamois could be a little more refined with a better contour, for the ladies anyway)...get it on sale!
