Form and function coalesce.
Distance efforts and rigorous training routines call for a form-fitting jersey that's comfortable in widely variable conditions and highly reflective for late-evening rides. Hitting all these key components, the Gore Bike Wear Men's XENON 2.0 S Jersey brings together a highly functional matrix of ultra-light, breathable fabrics, with ample storage for fueling longer rides and brilliant visibility after dark. Super-thin fabric along the body fits tightly, much like a second skin. Not only does this reduce drag when you're pushing along at higher cadence, but it also combats perspiration build-up, especially considering its strategically placed mesh ventilation. Ultrasonic welded seams allow for a smooth on-skin feel without the friction of bulkier seams. Bonded construction along the edges and hem reduces excess weight for the lightest possible feel on the road.
The three-compartment rear pocket tapers along the sides for easier access to energy gels, substantial snacks, and other riding accessories. Also, the jersey's rear sports a zippered pocket that's great for tossing essentials, such as your cash, keys, and phone. The semi-locking front zipper helps to ventilate your upper body, securing in place without migrating when it's partially unzipped. Ergonomically shaped, the collar comfortably hugs your neckline without digging in or restricting your ability to move. And because you'll be training rigorously at all hours, the reflective print along the sides, sleeves, and backside significantly boosts overall visibility at dawn and dusk hours.

Be careful with this one
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
A warning about this shirt that I could not tell from the description or photo here: The back is mesh. Like a zippered laundry bag that you use to wash your gloves and helmet liner in the washing machine. You can see right through the holes. I'm pretty sure that I'd get a sun burn on my back wearing this shirt while riding. Well, you can kind of tell from the photos. But I did not expect it to be such a see through mesh with almost no protection from the sun.
In general, I like Gore bike clothes and have too many items to count. But this one will be the first to send back. It's just too close to not having a shirt on your back. Otherwise, the shirt is nice. It fits tightly, which is what I was after. Nice materials, design, and they can feel too thin or flimsy, but they are actually designed to do their job quite well. It's as is usual with Gore and I will likely be buying more of their gear. Oh, the sleeves seemed particularly short, too. I could be OK with that. It's the mesh back that is my only real complaint.
