Keep your cranium feeling warm well beyond the chill of fall with the help of Gore Bike Wear's Equipe Windstopper Cap. Like their other winter cycling cap, the Equipe Gore-Tex Cap, the Equipe Gore Winstopper cap provides excellent water and wind barrier, but the Equipe Gore Windstopper also features extended ear flaps to keep your ears feeling toasty and insulated, too. Made from polyester with a gentle elastane stretch, this cap will feel snug and soft underneath your helmet, and a soft terry cloth band adds extra comfortable insulation.

- Q & A
Ehhhh, doesn't look like the photos.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: one size
I'm not sure what happened between the product photos and the production model, but the "extended flap" portion on the cap I received looks nothing like the pics. Doesn't appear to be the same material and it's about 1/3 the length pictured and barely covers the bottom of my ear lobes. It doesn't even begin to cover the back of the neck anymore than a beanie/skull cap. The fit of the cap is very tight and harsh with the seam of the upper cap and ear flap falling right across the middle of the ear.. had to take it off after one minute from the discomfort on my ears and forehead. I do not have a giganto head, have always worn Med. sized helmets and fitted hat size of 7 1/4 - 7 3/8. Likely fine for those who wear Small sized helmets. Was really excited, then very disappointed. Rather than return, I will re-gift to someone with a smaller noggin.
Is this cap waterproof? What other options do you have?
