Nail the shot in stunning clarity.
The HERO5 Black was responsible for ultimately killing most of GoPro's competitors, thanks to its mind-blowing clarity and silky-smooth playback of HD video, up to a stunning 4K resolution at 30 frames per second (fps). It introduced a host of new features that were unprecedented at its time of launch, such as voice-activated control, 2in touchscreen display, intuitive one-button operation, and rubberized design that's fully waterproof to 10 meters. This particular HERO5 Black with SD Card is bundled with a SanDisk 32GB Extreme microSD card, meaning you'll be able to instantly capture footage and photos straight from the box.
Seeing it captures hyper-realistic 4K video, the HERO5 Black's capabilities exceed the resolution of most people's HD TVs and computer monitors. Obviously, 4K video quality is most popular with professional uses, so GoPro offers the popular HD shooting modes of 1440p at 80fps, 1080p at 120fps, and 720p at 120fps, among others. All of these shooting modes create smoother video playback than before, courtesy of its advanced image stabilization (achieved by a processor) that virtually eliminates the jittery playback common with older action cameras.
Taking photos with your GoPro is better than ever, courtesy of its 12 megapixel images captured in RAW and WDR formats for editing flexibility and better image detail. On-screen exposure control helps you correct blown-out images in bright lighting and dim pictures when it's dark outside. You can take single shots, burst images, and time-lapse photographs.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity with GoPro's app provides control from your phone or tablet, also capable of automatically uploading footage to GoPro's cloud with a separate subscription. New for this generation, GPS tagging of videos and photos brings a geographic element to your adventures. The GoPro HERO5 comes with an attachment frame with mounting buckle, two adhesive mounts (flat and curved), USB cable, and 32GB microSD card.

Don’t do it
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
The Hero 5 has a serious issue with the menu screen on the back disappearing.
Go Pro knows this and they push you into upgrading the SD card. So another $50. Then that won’t fix so they want you to send it back. But they won’t fix unless you have the receipt. That’s fine unless you got it as a gift. And that person has the receipt. Which my friend doesn’t. Yet my camera is registered at GoPro.
You know I had a Callaway putter I bought on EBay that was $200. It broke, Callaway sent me a $299 dollar putter without a receipt and even after I told them I got it on EBay.
GoPro is crap. Do not buy.
Great Action Cam

Finally made the jump from my old Hero 3. If you're like me and hate stopping to take pictures a GoPro is a must have. My go to mounts are the helmet mount, and a PVC frame I threw together that fits in my backpack that places the camera about 2' above my head over my right shoulder. Small and easy to use and you don't have to worry about beating it up like you would with a full camera set up. You may be a little limited with the shots you can get due to the fixed lens. I tend to travel extremely light and this works perfect for me. I went to Italy for 12 days with only a day pack as my luggage. Definitely didn't have room for a full camera, but the GoPro was exactly what I needed.

This thing is great. Its eaay to use and figure out. It feels very durable and the video quality is amazing. I would definitely recommend to anyone that is active.
One thing to know which is common for most electronics but the battery life goes super quick in the cold mind you i was in sub zero temps just recommend buying spare batteries especially if you want to record in 4k the whole time.
Does it include case?
