    Tut tut looks like...

Cold, cloudy, rainy weather in the backcountry sure can be pleasant when you're eating Good To-Go's Pad Thai. A few minutes of boiling water bring these traditional Banh Pho rice noodles to a soft, warm, welcoming addition to your stomach. Good To-Go's chefs packed this Pad Thai with eggs for protein, American shrimp sauce, and crunchy peanuts to compliment the scenic backdrop outside the door and the rain's soft, peaceful pitter-patter atop the tent that will eventually put you and your full stomach to sleep.

I want to eat this for every meal!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Wow this is so yummy! It is packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice (if you like things spicy). It is very high in calories and sugar, so its perfect after long days on the trail. I ate mine on a rafting trip and couldn't quite finish the whole 2 serving package, but I definitely would have if I had been hiking all day!

I loved the flavors in this Pad Thai meal from Good To-Go. The first time I had this meal was on a backpacking trip to Kings Peak here in the Uinta Mountain Range of Utah. We had dragged ourselves into camp around 11 PM and I was ravenous! I inhaled the Pad Thai as I found I just couldn't stop myself haha it was so tasty. Good To-Go is very conscious of the ingredients they use and make these meals as healthy as possible. Great ingredients + Delicious Flavors = One Happy Camper : )

    Nice Camp Pad Thai

It was great to have comfort food like this out in the backcountry, but I did wish I had packed my bottle of Sriracha with it, as it could use the kick.

    Yum yum

I love pad thai so this meal was a must try. I was very impressed! I will say it did not taste like traditional pad thai.. it had some more spice flavoring to it.. but it was still very good. I found that this meal cooked better than the three bean chili and the risotto, this meal fully cook at exactly 20 minutes at high altitude.
I love that these meals are all gluten free and pescaterian! It comes with a large serving! You can definitely share this meal if you have other snacks.

Delicious and convenient- just add water

Very tasty- on par with some restaurants. Take the time and care to rehydrate these meals following the instructions on the bag. If you do, you will be rewarded with noodles that have the right texture, a tasty blend of spices and herbs, and a low mess meal that is a great option for backpacking.

    Best Backpacking Meals Ever.

Love this brand and this batch specifically. Great flavor throughout. Make sure to let it sit for 15+ minutes to get the noodles nice and soft.

Good-To-Go makes the best backpacking meals I've ever had-while most meals leave you bloated from too much salt and whatever else is in there , these guys taste about as fresh as you can get for opening a store bought package while chillin in the backcountry. I love all the flavors!

    Good stuff!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is the first meal I've tried from Good To-Go and I was very impressed. This is probably one of the best meals-in-a-bag that I have had, so I will certainly be trying out more flavors in the future!

    Better than others

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm definitely with the below reviewers that the thai curry is much better, but this one is pretty decent. Especially with the extra peanut butter! The texture does start to get a little weird, but after a day of working hard it won't matter much.

    Weird texture

Was pretty tasty at first (but then again what isn't tasty after you've been backpacking all day for 15 miles). By the end of it I was ready for the experience to be over. Had a weird texture to it by the end.

      Pretty Darn Good

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I've had the whole Good to Go line a minimum of twice now, and the Pad Thai is definitely a good offering. It isn't my favorite backcountry meal, but it is top 5 and very worth a night if pulling a multi-night outing. Great flavor, great ingredients, great (compact) packaging (for a freeze-dried meal).

      Super tasty!

Had this meal after backpacking 10 miles over rough terrain, ending in a hailstorm, and it hit the spot (I couldn't tell you if that was because the meal was good, or if I was that desperate for salty calories or what). I took the advice of someone below and added some peanut butter, which definitely added a lot!

      My favorite!

This is definitely the best backpacking ready meal I've ever had! I read reviews before I left and boiled my water a little longer than when it first reaches the boiling point. If the water is a little hotter then you don't have the problem with crunchy noodles. It is a lot of food! I shared this with my hiking partner and between the 2 of us we barely finished it. There's nothing like a long hike followed by a "gourmet" meal (by backpacker standards)!

        Pretty Dang Good

Don't expect a 5-star-on-yelp-just-around-the-corner type meal. However, what you can expect a great backpacking meal that is easy, and to me much more tasty than some other dried brands out there. The Pad Thai served me and my girlfriend plenty for dinner, and we have already bought quite a few more to have on hand! Excited to see what Good-To-Go keeps coming out with.

          Not bad, add peanut butter

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is sort of blah on it's own (I was expecting better after how good the Thai Curry was), but adding peanut butter makes it pretty good (more like a peanut curry noodle).

          Wilderness Gourmet

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Made in Kittery Maine by a world renowned chef, these gourmet freeze dried meals are my go to when trying to stay light on longer backpacking trips. The Pad Thai is a recent addition and by far my favorite. It's incredibly filling, flavorful, and smells delicious. Its amazing to see this local business now booming and all without a sacrifice in the quality product they produce. Far superior to any freeze dried meal on the market.

Those with shellfish or peanut allergies should beware.

          Not Quite Pad Thai

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is a pretty tasty meal that definitely is enough to feed 2 people. Its more rice noodles with a pesto like consistency peanut sauce. I added extra veggies in the bag for a little freshness.
