Tastes Good

Although more expensive than regular oatmeal packets (or granola), this is a beautifully packaged, high quality food. It is enjoyable to bring on a trip. I look forward to eating it. You can add hot water to make a sort of oatmeal, however it isn't quite the same texture as traditional oatmeal. You can add milk and toppings. You could also eat it without cooking if necessary but it isn't like regular granola either. It's in between granola and oatmeal but still tastes good. I like that it is mild and easy on the stomach.

One of my favorite trail breakfasts

I always make sure to have one of these in my pack/kit when we?re backpacking/camping. Filling, tasty, and usually some leftover to have as a mid morning snack. If you?re used to Quaker Oats from the little packets, you will be rudely (or maybe pleasantly) surprised by the whole-grain taste and texture of this healthy and satisfying meal. Also try the herbed mushroom risotto. I don?t even like mushrooms and this is one of my favorites.
