A great way to add second solar circuit to Yeti X
I bought this to add to a second solar charging circuit to a Yeti 1000X lithium and it's a great way to charge with two sets of dissimilar panels. In my setup, I have 2x100W panels in parallel that are roof mounted on a small trailer. They are not GZ and have a 25V Voc rating so I need to run them off the built in MPPT. I also have a Boulder 200 panel that I use when power draw is high for my setup, and that I can plug into the expansion module to use both panels optimally. In my setup, I've seen over 400W simultaneously on the two channels combined, which really adds the juice. The limit I've seen here is that this unit has a 22V max which is quite low vs the more modern stuff, but GZ panels have a Voc under this so it works out fine.

Failed after 5 days camping in Colorado
I had this in my new Yeti 1000 on a 5 day camping trip to Colorado. It failed on the 6th day. It's junk in my opinion and you shouldn't have to purchase one in the first place!

Does not connect to yeti tank
I bought this because it had the hi input port, only to discover that it does not have the connection to the tank. I have yet to find a module to charge the tank with solar panels

Does what it claims
I bought this for my Yeti 1400, and am using it with 3 x 100 watt panels on my garage roof. A like for like comparison by unplugging from standard solar input and plugging into the MPPT controller showed an immediate +30% increase in input wattage. Very pleased with the results. Mains charging is faster too using my home made 250w power supply.

Yeti MPPT works as advertised
The MPPT made the difference on a dark, cold, cloudy Michigan autumn day between no charging at all and a solid 40 watts from 3 panels. It also optimized the 120V power supply from 65 to almost 80 watts.

Needed accessory!
Well worth the price. Charging via solar much faster.

The must have accessory module
The MPPT module is a must have with Yeti 1000 or greater sizes. It simply converts access panel voltage into storable power. Charging time is reduced. and up to 25 amps of input, also you can still use the PWM controller inputs. You'll love this.

Works Quite Well
Running this thing for several days now. The period of solar charging is extended by at least 2 hours each day (starts earlier and stops later). The charge initializes at lower wattage (amps). Charging per se is (seems to me) faster. Good value.

Does adding and using this mppt module override the original module on the Yeti 1000?

The 230W AC power supply for Yeti X has a 19V output. It should be safe to use with this MPPT as it is lower than both the max power and max input voltage of the MPPT. Please confirm. Thanks.

Connected to GZ 1500X don't display input wattage, only blue led is light, won't charge the battery. Yeti 1500X has a 1.3.0 firmware version. What should i do?

I’m still confused about this product. It says it is only needed for Yeti X for additional solar input. Does this mean that even with something like a Yeti 200X or 500X that I can use with say two Boulder 100s?

Can I use the MPPT while charging from a wall outlet? Or is it only meant for solar use?

Can this be used to directly connect solar panels to Yeti Tanks that are then connected to Yeti 1400? If so, will the panels also charge the Yeti 1400, or just the tank? Thanks

Are the ports on the MPPT optimized individually - in case panels connected to the ports have different orientations?

do you need/can you use the MPPT and Car charger to allow for van or solar recharging? or are they the same unit? how would i connect both?
