Leave noisy, polluting generators behind.

One of the most versatile power stations on the market, the Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Lithium Power Station powers a wide range of household appliances, portable electronics, and camping necessities when you're traveling far from the comforts of home or simply need backup power in case of an emergency or neighborhood blackout. Its portable size and relatively lightweight design enable you to bring it on the road or easily store it in a spare closet without it taking up excess room. And since it's powered by a lithium-ion battery, you'll be free of the annoying noise and smelly fumes of gasoline-powered generators.

The Yeti 1000 features a 1500W AC inverter that powers a wider range of appliances and household items, ranging from full-size refrigerators to power tools. Best of all, it's easily chargeable from your wall outlet at home or by plugging into an array of solar panels (Goal Zero recommends their Boulder 100 Solar Panels) when you're away from civilization. Please note, the Yeti 1000 isn't compatible with 12V charging ports, such as you'd find in your vehicle. Goal Zero is currently working on a car charging solution, so stay tuned for future compatibility updates with Goal Zero. Another thing to note for solar charging, make sure your solar panels don't exceed 30V, as this can seriously harm the Yeti 1000.

Four USB output ports quickly charge your portable electronics, ranging from smartphones to tablets and other devices. The 12V output comes in handy for car-related camping accessories, such as pumps for inflating air mattresses and car chargers for portable electronic devices. Two AC wall outlets power larger household appliances and tools in the garage, meaning you'll be able to plug-in your fridge in the event of a power outage (please check your fridge's power requirements) or use this power station for projects in the garage without dealing with pesky extension cords.

Haven’t received it even though I paid

Paid for goal zero 1000 and it was improperly sent from backcountry and I can’t get a straight answer about when or what happened to it. It’s been returned to backcountry via the courier and backcountry hasn’t been able to either send me another one or resend the original. I guess I’ll dispute charges with my credit card company and report as stolen. Buy elsewhere.....

Great portable power option

Familiarity:I've used it several times

For a few hundred dollars less, and 400Wh less, I'd take this one over the Yeti 1400. Depends on your needs of course but same inverter so it can power the same items, just not for as long. For us, a little extra weight and less cost was just what we needed. We love this portable power station and have not used our gas generator since purchasing it. Highly recommended.
