Ditch the gas generator and opt for one of the most versatile power stations on the market: the Goal Zero Yeti 1000X Portable Power Station. With the efficiency and adaptability to power household appliances, portable electronics, and camping necessities, this station is ideal when we travel far from home or need to power up our abode in times of emergency.
The Yeti 1000X features a 1500W AC inverter that powers a wide range of appliances and household items, ranging from full-size refrigerators to power tools. Four USB output ports quickly charge portable electronics, like our precious smartphones and e-readers that offer us at-home comfort on the road. The 12V output is handy for car-related camping accessories, such as pumps for inflating air mattresses and car chargers for portable electronic devices. It's easily chargeable from our wall outlet at home or by plugging into an array of solar panels–Goal Zero recommends their Boulder 100 Solar Panels–when we're away from civilization. And, an update from the previous iteration, the Yeti 1000X is now charge-compatible with the 12V in our cars, trucks, and vans so that we can power up on the go.

Used to love GZ...now I feel cheated
I bought a 1000 Core for camping...and last year it worked great...I stored it for the winter and just got it out due to a storm that could last a few days. I charged it up today and then suddenly the AC light went red as if I'd tripped something. No amount of button pushing reset it. no multiple button pushes reset it. Hanging on a call forever to see if there is something I can do, but no. Other than taking it apart myself...it is just bricked. over an hour searching online to get nowhere...waiting on the phone to get nowhere...was it worth the high price for a few camping trips last year? not even close.

Not great in the winter
This battery came in my Scout yoho camper. I have had to get it replaced 2 times in the first year. It also does not function well in the cold which sucks for a 4 season camper. They do not have battery blankets or cooler options yet. Looking forward to trying another brand like Bluetti

Good balance of performance and portability.
The Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core supports basic energy needs for warmth, lighting, navigation and communications for about a week in a relatively small (15.25" width x 10.23" depth x 9.86" height) and lightweight (~32 lbs) that we recharge with portable solar panel or the upgraded 230 watt wall charger or if traveling, the optional 12V car charging cable.

As Advertised
The Yeti charged as expected and has held the charge. I have not yet used the power station to power anything.

It powers some holiday cheer!
We participated in the Portland, OR Christmas Ships parade for the first time this year. We bought the Yeti 1000 Core to power our light display. It handles it with plenty of watts to spare. We have both USB powered and AC powered lights strings. Being able to use the inverter AC power and DC power at the same time is pretty cool. Our current light display only consumed about 10% of the battery over the 3 hour parade. After the holidays, we will use it as short term emergency power to run our WIFI and a few lights for a few hours. Great little box!

Great solution
My Son is an insulin dependent diabetic. We have to have a way to keep a fridge going should there be any type of power outage and the Yeti 1000 core and the Boulder 100 solar generator is a great solution. It is stored in a Faraday Bag also from Goal Zero. Also if you are wondering, the customer service with this company is outstanding.

Incredible
I run a food cart and use this to power my mobile refrigerator I can run the fridge four hours and not even use 20% while keeping my P OS and cell phone charged. When I hook up the solar panel on a sunny day it uses no battery reserve at all to run my fridge.. This is giving me the power to consider expanding my offering to maybe even including ice cream

yeti 1000
ordered and recieved yeti1000 core and a boulder package of 2 100w panels. have charged unit using home power, haven't hooked up the panels yet, but that seems strait forward. this set up is for an off grid camp, a primitive cabin in adirondacks. this should power some lights and a small radio, recharge the phone and tablet. no internet or wi-fi available in the area, but we are planing to power an antenna and wi-fi modem for the cell phone, as needed. unit it nice, solid, and when it is 9 or 10 months old, has been moved back and forth from home to camp, drained and recharged, etc... and if it is still humming along, 4 stars go to 5. boulder package came with a 12 ga wire high power cable, i missed that in description ( if it was even there) and wound up buying a 30' cable, that is 8mm 16ga. didnt need it, glad because 16 ga. is a 25% power drop. will keep it for a back up. will probably get 2 more 100w panels when funds allow. would reccommend a 1000 'X' for the expansion capability, i personally will not need that. bought some lighting as well - love it.

Second Goal Zero, first Lithium ion
Awesome. Had a 1250 and got a 1000x. More than enough power and the weight difference has been a huge added bonus. went with the Open Box option and saved a lot. Like brand new
