Get out, power up, and get going.

Maximize your sun-supported power production with the Nomad 20 Solar Panel, Goal Zero's largest foldable, fully portable charging device. Built for charging all your essential electronics, this panel directly restores your camera, GPS, or laptop batteries via the USB port. What that means is that this panel charges your electronics when it's in the sun, but the panel itself doesn't store power (to store power, use this panel with one of Goal Zero's portable power pack batteries, sold separately). At less than three pounds, and with a folded size that's just slightly larger than a standard piece of paper, the panel is awesomely mobile. Pair it with a Goal Zero portable power pack battery (it's most ideal with the Sherpa 50, Yeti 150, and Escape 150), and you can store power to illuminate your tent and crank out the nighttime tunes. It's an energy source for the long-range backcountry and the barely off-grid.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Goal Zero's website states a 10W 2A output from the USB port, just what I was looking for. When it arrived, both the box and the manual said 5W 1A. Goal Zero claims that they "just forgot to change the box and paperwork when they made changes to the product" in an email complete with misspellings and grammar errors.

Backcountry has excellent customer service, and they quickly facilitated my return and refund. Thank you guys!

    Perfect for backpacking

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I take my nomad 20 on every backpacking trip I go on. It's relatively light, it charges item well, even in low light or cloudy days. It's very well made and sturdy. Really excellent product.
