Space and weight are limited on backpacking trips, so you don't want to lug some bulky lantern into the wilderness. However, you also don't want to count on navigating your ink-black campsite by the light of the stars, either. Perfect for the weight-conscious camper, the pocket-sized, ultralight Goal Zero Lighthouse Micro delivers a nice dose of ambient light to help you illuminate your tent, chop veggies for dinner, check camera settings, and more. It has two- and four-light options, plus there is a dimmer, so you can control the amount of light and conserve battery. When the juice does run out, you can connect it to your Nomad solar panel during the day and have it ready to go again the next night.

    • Compact rechargeable lantern for weight-conscious campers
    • Charges via USB or Goal Zero Nomad solar panels
    • Dimmable, 7-170 hours of run time depending on brightness
    • IPX6 weatherproof for rain and splash resistance
    • Item #GZR001J

    I love this

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I took a trip over the summer with wine friends, I have a small car with a crappy dome light. This light was so useful and helpful, I used it in the car, outside hanging from trees, or as a little area light when setting up a tent last minute in a dark parking lot. Super awesome light!

    Good camping light

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Decent light, dim mode is helpful, the actual button is kind of annoyingly hard to press but the function is spot on.

    Just Buy It!

Small, lightweight, rechargeable, inexpensive, & for its compactness.... dude its really bright!! 150 lumens on its max setting & then roughly half that on the low setting. I lived in an off-grid yurt this year so at night I hung this from the ceiling & it would light up the whole place. I was impressed.
