Survive the apocalypse.
Everyone should be prepared for the next zombie invasion or apocalyptic reversal of the magnetic poles and your battery-operated flashlight isn't going to cut it. In all seriousness, the Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 is a stellar choice for lighting up the night when the grid is down, thanks to multiple charging options and 400 lumens of brilliant light. As Goal Zero's brightest lantern, the Lighthouse 400 utilizes 360-degree LED projection that's turn-adjustable. This allows you to save precious battery life and precisely adjust lighting to your intended use.
The Lighthouse 400 separates itself from everyday lanterns with multiple charging configurations. One of the coolest features is the ability to use a self-powered crank to charge the lantern when the battery runs out. Just one minute of cranking gives you ten minutes of lighting, which is just enough for performing essential duties after the neighborhood's electricity goes out during a thunderstorm. For off-grid campers and survivalists, the Lighthouse 400 plugs into Goal Zero's solar panels for a truly sustainable energy source.
When time is of the essence, simply plug it into any powered USB port with the included cable. USB charging fully powers the lantern in about five hours. Besides its incredibly versatile charging options, the Lighthouse 400 has a USB output port that juices up gadgets off the grid. It fully charges smartphones and boosts the available battery of larger tablets with the internal lithium battery providing 4,400mAh with a 1.5A USB output.

perfect camp lamp
This lamp is bright and really portable. You can adjust the settings to be really bright while you are cooking then lower the settings for your tent. I love the little stand and that you can charge your phone! I would recommend this lamp to any campers out there looking for a good all around lamp that is compact.

Love that you can charge this lantern by plugging it to a USB charger. Super bright and nice and light. I did notice it charges much better when charging from a wall outlet versus a car charger.

Solid camping Lantern
This thing is surprisingly bright and has a great dimmer that always you to set the mode from "sexy time" to "as bright as the sun." Well maybe its not that bright, but this lantern is very handy. Holds a charge well and you can charge your electronics off it. And in case, you forgot your GoalZero solar panel, this bad boy has a crank that always to re-charge in a pinch.

Rad Little Lantern
Love this thing. It's got a 180 degree and 360 degree light setting and is very adjustable from barely lit to full strength. Really easy to use and the charger is built right in so you'll never lose it.

Like the Sun!
Great little lantern. I used it while car camping and it lit up the entire camp spot. The turn-adjustable knob is great when 400-lumens is a bit blinding and the hand crank for charging is perfect in a pinch

Great Design, and SO Bright!
This lantern is well designed and very bright. I made sure it was fully charged before heading out for a weekend adventure and never had to recharge in the field.. I did like that it has a built in crank charge, just in case solar charging wasn't an option. Its seems well designed and very sturdy. The dimmer knob was very nice to dial-in the right brightness. I also liked that the USB charging cable is built and easily stows out of the way. I have several other rechargeable products and I'm always having to dig around for the cables, but not with this little guy,

Love this thing. Does take a while to charge if you are using the manual method but it's very bright, lit up a good chunk of the website.

This lantern is awesome! I have never owned A lantern before but decided it was time to try one out. I've usually used my phone as a flashlight when I go camping and always have trouble With not being able to use both hands at night. With this lantern I can now cook food, Charge my phone and be able to see inside my tent hands free. The best part about this lantern is it's rechargeable so I have to worry about buying batteries for it..

Rad little lantern
This lantern is awesome! It gives off a ton of light, and I love the feature it has where it can only light half of the lantern, making directional lighting. It is awesome! The hand crank is a really great feature as well, for survival purposes, and works really easily. I highly recommend this lantern! It would make a great gift for that avid camper in your life, too!

I already had the lighthouse mini and loved it. Perfect for the tent. I wanted to keep within the same brand because they are awesome. This lantern did not dissapoint. Ample light for the camp table and other mega light usages. Love love love how you can have just half of the lantern light up. I use that function to look for stuff around camp. The the functionality of the multiple charging options

I used this on a week long road trip this fall and it was super handy! Way better than the gas powered Coleman lantern I grew up using on family camping trips. I was a little skeptical at first as I've always just used head lamps camping, but this produces a nice bright but diffused light that really lights up a whole area. As a bonus, you also don't have to worry about blinding your companions.. It was a great source of light for everything from hitching and unhitching our trailer to walking the dog. We used it daily and never came close to running out of battery, so I can't say I tried the hand crank charging out, but it's nice to know the option is there.

Light Bright, Light Bright!
I just took this lantern on a recent trip and it was awesome! It was super bright and the battery life last forever. We used it at the camp table while cooking as well as in the tent when hanging out. It was also nice having a way to charge my phone since I use my phone as my camera and need as much charge as possible. It was surprisingly light for the size.

Seriously. This lantern is the brightest of any I've ever used. The dimming option is awesome, and saves battery when you don't need a ton of light. I love that you can charge your phone with it, too! What an awesome feature. The hand crank is perfect for backcountry adventures or emergency situations, as well. I think I might start keeping this bad boy in my car at all times, just in case. Never know when you might need it!

And I mean that in the best way. It's so freaking bright! Thankfully it has a dimmer for better mood lighting at dinner. I have used this the past few weeks to light up my backyard kitchen while grilling and sharing meals outside. I'm super excited to take it camping late this fall when it gets dark earlier. No more prepping + cooking with a headlamp! Bonus you can charge your phone off of the lantern.

Way More Than Just A Lantern
The Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 is a truly amazing piece of gear! It is loaded with features and is awesome to have camping, any time you are out of power or even to have in your car for an emergency situation. The Lighthouse 400 is Goal Zero's brightest lantern with 360 degrees of 400 powerful lumens. On full brightness, it is incredibly bright if you need it, but it is super adjustable, so you can set it to however bright or dim you'd like it or even one side or the other. It also has a red strobe light at the top that is awesome if you are stranded on the side of the road. It has a very strong battery that lasts for up to 48 hours of use on low and about 2 and a half on full 360 brightness. Not only is the Lighthouse 400 a lantern, but it is also a legitimate power bank. It can charge your phone (2X), GoPro (3X), or even tablet (1X @50%). You can charge it via USB (7 hours for full power), Goal Zero's Nomad 7 Solar Charger (7 hours in full sunlight), and even with the built-in handcrank if you are in a pinch. It even has a battery indicator so you can know how much battery life you have left. You can set it up almost anywhere because it can be set up to stand on its legs or hung from your tent or a tree branch. I highly recommend the Lighthouse 400, especially with the Goal Zero Nomad 7 Plus, so you always have a power source. I've been thoroughly impressed with it and am looking forward to using it for years!

Bright Little Lantern
I bought this for the Big Bend NP and Guadalupe NP. It is brighter than what you would think for a 400 lumens lantern. I'm thinking of getting another one for emergency.

This lantern is great for weekend camp trips! The usb charging port is super helpful and charges your phone fairly quickly using little battery. The dual switch on the side is sweet. When its dusk and were cooking dinner, the half lighting is perfect and has legs the easily fold down to hold it up! The full switch was awesome for when it gets dark out and you need lots of light to find your tent! It doesnt take up a lot of space and is light for car camping. The battery lasts a good amount of time and is super easy to use!
