    Survive the apocalypse.

Everyone should be prepared for the next zombie invasion or apocalyptic reversal of the magnetic poles and your battery-operated flashlight isn't going to cut it. In all seriousness, the Goal Zero Lighthouse 400 is a stellar choice for lighting up the night when the grid is down, thanks to multiple charging options and 400 lumens of brilliant light. As Goal Zero's brightest lantern, the Lighthouse 400 utilizes 360-degree LED projection that's turn-adjustable. This allows you to save precious battery life and precisely adjust lighting to your intended use.

The Lighthouse 400 separates itself from everyday lanterns with multiple charging configurations. One of the coolest features is the ability to use a self-powered crank to charge the lantern when the battery runs out. Just one minute of cranking gives you ten minutes of lighting, which is just enough for performing essential duties after the neighborhood's electricity goes out during a thunderstorm. For off-grid campers and survivalists, the Lighthouse 400 plugs into Goal Zero's solar panels for a truly sustainable energy source.

When time is of the essence, simply plug it into any powered USB port with the included cable. USB charging fully powers the lantern in about five hours. Besides its incredibly versatile charging options, the Lighthouse 400 has a USB output port that juices up gadgets off the grid. It fully charges smartphones and boosts the available battery of larger tablets with the internal lithium battery providing 4,400mAh with a 1.5A USB output.

    I need one

I used my friends while camping, so now I've bought one as a gift. Now I need to buy one for me. This is an awesome lantern for the camper or someone who would like some sort of light source for emergency prep.
The hand crank is awesome and you can charge your devices.
This emits a great amount of light for camp.

      BEST LANTERN AROUND

So bright on both high and low light settings! The low light setting is perfect for leading through the darkness while not blasting you in the face with blinding light! Charges fast and holds power to recharge a device in a pinch! Currently in Puerto Rico for hurricane relief and it has been a lifesaver!

Don't Know How I went Camping Without It

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This thing is awesome. Battery lasts a long time, its super bright, tons of adjustability in terms of output. 10/10

Light up your tent or truck bed!

What makes a camping light great? This Goal zero was the one I honed in on because not only was it a great size for car camping, but it also has a crank arm to recharge if necessary AND a USB so you can charge you cell phone off of it! I always check and recharge this before going out for a weekend, but have never had a problem with it running out a juice- which really isn't a worry due to the crank. A must have for car camping!

Never worry about bringing batteries or having to charge your lamp again. This lamp is exceptionally bright and can be powered up by using the hand crank. That being said, you'll still want to charge the light before heading out to the woods. With a full battery, you can charge a typical smartphone (I have an Iphone 6) about twice.
