Breathable padding for the road and trail.

As one of the best values in women's-specific cycling gloves, the Giro Tessa Lf Women's Gloves offer Giro's fabled Super Fit design that's tailored to the smaller hands of lady cyclists, with a four-way stretch, breathable mesh upper for ample cooling on hot summer rides. The AX Suede palm is delightfully soft and supple for dexterous grip when you're clutching your drop bars and trail bike grips alike. Moreover, you'll find gel padding to dissipate fatiguing road vibration and trail chatter, while the microfiber thumb lends itself to wiping sweat dripping down your face. Rounding things out, there's a hook-and-loop closure for a dialed fit, with a sonic welded pull tab for quick-and-easy on and off.

    Just Right

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

First it is wonderful to find gloves that fit. Used the fit guide and they are just right. I live in Texas and wear these full finger gloves in the summer. I suppose they will work well through the early Fall as well. I can't say I've put them thru the wringer but have worn them for a month as "the" pair of gloves. Washing has not dulled or stressed these gloves. The fit remains spot on and the stitching and colors are not distressed. I really should get another pair.

    Love these things...

Okay, maybe it's just me and no promises for anyone one else... No matter what I do, I often have numbness in one or both hands on longer rides. With these gloves, it's close to problem solved. They are thin, flexible, close fitting, non-bunching, with minimal padding. I can't say why, but I have little to no numbness on longer (50 mile) rides when wearing them and often have numbness in less than 20 miles when wearing other gloves. I (obviously) love them.

    So I love these.

I originally bought a pair of these gloves to use as a shoulder season glove for road riding in Maine. They held up well for the most part through several seasons of racing in college. After some time, the gel padding near the thumb came pretty much unsewn from the lining of the glove after a nasty spill in Rhode Island (I'm lookin at you, chicane turn on the RISD crit!)

I loved them still, so just bought a new pair before starting training for the Tour Divide this summer. STILL LOVE THEM!!!

They fit me really well, much better than some other gloves I've tried (Pearl Izumi mostly)--I do have a relatively large palm and shorter fingers, the large fits me well.

I found these so so comfortable to wear for days on end on the Divide, pretty much between a zillion and zero degrees (New Mexico was TOASTY).

I would certainly recommend these to anyone looking to have ONE pair of gloves that can serve them well from road to mountain to state-line-cartwheels (I'll get better at those one day!).

    Good for newbs

I bought the white version of these gloves on close out as a first pair of gloves. Although they were cheap, they are great quality for the money. A few things...

    1) My Juliana grips are uncomfortable so I wish I had a bit more padding.
    2) Don't buy white, they get dirty so fast.
    3) Great quality glove and breathable.
    4) I could have probably gone with a M instead of S. They are a bit snug on my hands. Make sure to use the sizing chart before buying (I didn't do that... whoops!)

    First Gloves

I recently started mountain biking and bought these as my first pair of gloves. I wore them all summer and I was surprised that they are super breathable. My hands never got too sweaty while I was riding. The velcro strap is a nice feature for people with meaty palms. I tried on other pairs that didn't have this option and I felt like I was going to rip the seams of the gloves.

    Awesome gloves... but avoid WHITE

Really like these gloves. The extra padding in the palm is fantastic! Helps prevent those nasty calluses. I bought these in the white and blue (mostly white)... bad idea because they get dirty SO easily. But... they are cute nonetheless. I'm usually a small in all women's gloves, and these were no exception. The Velcro is nice too if you want that added security. I find the wrist straps kind of unnecessary if the gloves fit properly though. And lastly... white stains easily. If you didn't already know that.

    Solid lightweight support

At a very reasonable price just under $30, I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of these gloves. I chose the black color so the dark color would hide dirt stains bound to happen quickly, but I was initially leery of how hot black-cloaked hands would get under the bright Utah sun. The great breathability of the mesh-like upper fabric kept my hands cool, so the dark color did not end up being an issue at all. The ergonomic design mentioned in the product description also did not disappoint. The gloves fit like a second skin over my hands, and I did not experience the awkward bunching or bulges of extra fabric produced by other bike gloves that I have owned (like my Fox Digit Gloves, which are a men's size S). I found the sizing to be similar to other women's bike gloves, which are sized smaller than men's gloves. For my average-sized but fairly long and slender fingers, the size M worked great. The light padding in the palm area and reinforced fabric along the underside of the fingers worked great for protecting my hands from trail chatter and sweaty and sticky grips. Their light weight, great breathability and padded support where glove meets grip makes these gloves great for mild- to hot-weather XC riding. For burlier or cooler rides, I still like my Fox Digits that feature thicker, more reinforced fabric all around made to take a greater beating and that offer more warmth in cooler temperatures. For lighter, more breathable and form-fitting support, these gloves do the job nicely.
