Sufficient Shoe Covers

I've used these several times throughout the winter and as they do their job nicely. The fit is great over Giro's Empire SLX shoes, but I could see where it could get tricky if you were to pull these over any three strap or BOA shoe. One thing to note is that they don't have a cutout for the heel. It's unknown as to whether they intend for you to cut them out yourself based on your heel pad position or not. Otherwise they start to wear naturally.

Excellent - Warm Toes and Clean Shoes

i stumbled on these by accident. They are not waterproof, but they do keep the toes warm (down to about 35 degrees so far for me). I found them a little difficult to install the first time, but subsequent installs are fine. On wet days, they get a little dirty, but they clean up fine in the wash with the rest of the gear. My only worry is, over time, that the heel may wear through if you walk on them much. They aren't terribly expensive as shoe covers go, so definitely worth a try. Edit: I wear these over Pearl Izumi Road III shoes. They have a velcro strap across the toe and a single BOA on the tongue. Some care has to be taken when putting them on over the straps and knobs, but it's not too bad.

Clean Shoes and Warm Feet

I am a big fan of sock/fabric shoe covers for 2 main reasons: Keeping shoes clean from damp and dirt/mud on the roads and light insulation. When a winter shoe cover is too much and you need some minor insulation, a knit style cover offers a good combination. Given that I have made a switch to the Giro Empire SLX it seemed fair that I pair these with my new kicks. Black with a reflective stripe and a lime logo is a nice touch.

Worth checking out

Love these shoe covers when they fit right. Great wind blocker and they help trap heat in the shoe. The only reason I give 4/5 stars, is for fit. They only work with some shoes (not all) depending on the design and shape of the shoe. Definitely worth checking out to see if they're compatible though!
