Snow comes in through the sides

Third season using this helmet with shield for snowboarding. Works very well over glasses which was my reason for buying.... in dry conditions only. One fatal flaw: when it is snowing/raining , the precip comes in through the sides. Snow on the inside of the shield= Visibility killer. I hope giro will address this design flaw bc otherwise I love everything about this.
