Excitement is life’s greatest motivator. So, when you’re getting ready to push out onto a new trail, the last thing you want is for your gear to be the one slowing you down. The Giro Women’s Cylinder Shoes offer quick-setting adjustments so you can indulge in the buzzing furor that drives you up the hill.

The Cylinder’s single dial and front strap closure takes seconds to adjust. But it’s not just about speed, it’s also about reliability. This set it-and-forget it feature gives you more time on your bike and less time worrying about your shoes gradually coming loose.

And with ferocity comes the usual wear and tear. So, Giro added microfiber reinforcements on the toe and heel to help withstand occasional brushes with trailside obstacles. And a co-molded nylon and rubber sole provides optimal durability as it does traction.

Stylish and Comfy

I've used it several times
Runs small

We bought these for spin classes primarily and they look great. They are super comfy and easy to adjust with the BOA system. We had to size up a full size from a regular shoe and 1/2 size athletic (normally 8.5 and wen to a 9.0 US). Mine did not come with the front cleats for the times you need to hike-a bike but my wife won't be using them for this quite yet.

Reminded me of the Scott MTB Elite

I have wide feet, and ski in the winter time- I needed a wider fit, with out just "going larger". I ordered a 39 and am a 7.5, usually wearing a 38. I could tell it was not the correct fit, snug in the width and still long. It was my second favorite shoe of 4 i tried- so it was not that bad- the boa is very comfortable.

Can you wear these if you don't plan to clip in?

Hello, To answer your question, it would not be ideal to wear these shoes if you aren't clipped in. With flat pedals you'll want a flat pair of shoes to get the most grip. With the rise on these your foot can slip out easily if you aren't clipped in. If you do not want to be clipped in I would recommend a pair of Five Tens. A great pair are the Five Ten Freerider Pro Cycling Shoes, item #FVTZ11S
