Strada Gel Glove
The road is smooth, choppy, rough, and not really a road at all. This is the typical experience of most cyclists and the reason Giordana made their Men's Strada Gel Glove.
The back is designed to be soft and form-fitting, the kind of thing you're happy to pull on and keep on all day. It's made of Lycra and moves with you. The thumb is covered in a soft, synthetic terry material, because all of us, even those who claim otherwise, have a nose that needs wiping in the cold and a brow that needs wiping in the heat.
The palm starts with a durable microfiber base. Three separate regions of gel padding are then added: one under the thumb, one under the heel, and one across the ball. The thumb and heel are covered with material that breathes, while the ball is covered with microfiber that grips. And an extra grip treatment has been added to the thumb pad as well.
The Giordana Men's Strada Gel Glove has reflective elements on the back. It is secured to the hand with a hook-and-loop closure. Sizes run from Small to X-Large.

Serious gel works in all hand positions
I have tried gel padded gloves for years and always wished I could really feel the isolation from vibration that would help numbness and arthritis problems. Well, Giordana finally did that in spades. Yes, the padding is thick, but it seems to be in the right places, especially at the bottom of the palm where you put weight in any bar position but also at the base of the fingers that comes into play when you ride on the hoods as much as I do. Otherwise the fit , fabric and color (red) are high quality, just what I expect from Giordana. I have large, thin hands like a spider monkey and there's no extra material to get in the way. Gloves are not hard to get off even though there are no (non-aero) pull loops. I'm a pavement roadie and these gloves will be worn on any rides long or short. I bet they would be great for gravel or other rough roads too.

Lots of gel makes for a very comfortable ride. Before using these gloves, I'd been experiencing a lot of hand numbness; these gloves produced no numbness or tingling. A good glove for gravel riding! Highly recommend

Best for Rough terrain
One of the Best clothing investments made. Although it took me 200 miles to break-in over gravel and MTB terrain as well as the challanging roads of Detroit, once I passed the mileage sign, the gel had conformed to my hands and I was free to think about anything else on the menu. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Extremely comfortable gloves
My first reaction on putting these on was "wow, that's a lot of padding!". That faded in the first few minutes on the bike and they just felt so comfortable I stopped even noticing them. The solid lycra backs make them warm enough (for me) even on chilly mid-50 degree mornings, helpful when conditions will get warmer after an hour or two. I also like the large microfiber wipe areas on the thumbs, less likely to get saturated with sweat and therefore useless like the smaller ones on other summer gloves I have. It's fall, so too late to test them under really hot conditions.

Everyone has their own ideas about gear. Some like gloves with thick pads, some like gloves with no pads and some don't wear gloves at all.... so. These gloves have very thick pads in all the proper places, fit nicely and don't look like a canary pooped on your hands... awesome sauce for my road bike. Get some.

Gel too thick
I have oversize bars on my bike and gel/cork bar tape. The gel in these gloves is too thick for me. I have had pain in my hands/wrists for weeks now after using these gloves. The oversize bars probably don't help.

For the long ones!
Lots of miles (80+) sure feel better with lots of padding on the hands. These gloves fit that bill. They're exactly what I was looking for. And the manufacturer (Giordana) is my current favorite. For races, however, I return back to gloves with little padding in order to maximize the feel of the bike.

Lots of Padding
If you like a glove with a lot of padding, this may be the glove for you. With a sensitive Ulna nerve, I have battled with numbness in my hands throughout 40 years of riding. These gloves have the most padding I've ever experienced and so far there has been no numbness. I plan to order more pairs in order to make sure I'm always prepared.
