    Ride in Style.

Standing in line at the café, waiting for your ride-saving espresso and power pastry as your legs are about to seize in over-saturated bunchy bibs is about as bad as it gets. And while there’s little to be done about the wait, you can arrive in much better comfort and style with Giordana's NX-G Gradual Compression Bib Shorts. The NX-G bibs fill a void in cycling that has otherwise been overlooked with floppy and unflattering fabrics.

Giordana’s new textile utilizes tech from the undergarment and swim industry, which fells compressive around your legs instead of just lying there, staying in place with minimal stitching and no elastic grippers at the leg bands. When you ride or walk around, the bibs support you in gently compressive comfort instead of leaving you with a rash from a stitch line or bunch.

When standing, the new dual stretch bib straps work correctively, compared to traditional straps, and keep the bibs formed to your body but allow your torso to move unrestricted. And whether you are in for an hour of power at your favorite criterium, or headed out for a 6-hour soul-journey, the Cirro S chamois supports without being unnecessarily bulky.

Fell apart in less than 12 rides

I am so disappointed in these. I got them as birthday present Jan 2018, less than a year ago! They felt good when I got them, looked good and I thought they are high end so they will be great. I have a ton of bibs and pulled these out maybe once a month...but not more. This Saturday I noticed loose threads hanging all over me. Like dangling behind me. I get home and pull them off and the chamois falls almost off. 80% of it was detached. If they years old maybe this would make sense, but I have bibs that are half the price and years old that look awful but still work.

    Followup: Five stars retained!

I put my NX-G's through a 7 hour slog in 90 degree weather, and I came away very impressed! These really are just about as good as bibs get. They're on the pricey side, but I can say honestly that they're worth it! Be sure to get in touch with me directly at if you have any questions!

      Favorite Bib Shorts

Not only do these NX-G bibs look great, they feel and fit incredibly well. This is as close to bespoke as it gets. The material used throughout is paper thin and feels nice on the skin. The leg grippers and straps hold the bibs to the body without being obtrusive. The chamois rivals some of the best out there and offers superior comfort for the longest of rides. These are hands down the best bibs I've ever owned.

        Better than what Yates gets

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: Runs small

If youre performance-obsessed, and you don't want to compromise in terms of comfort, I can't recommend anything over Giordana's NX-G bibs. All of the critical elements of a high-end racing bib are present (balanced compression, good grip and cut, etc.) but Giordana didn't stop there. The materials are absolutely remarkable. They're actually nice enough that they can't be screen printed, so Astana and Mitchelton riders actually ride in the second-tier FR-C pro bibs to keep sponsors happy. Breathability meets compression meets long-distance comfort!

Yes, they are extreamly expensive, but if you've been riding bikes long enough you've learned that you rarely (if ever) regret investing an extra bit of cash in the bib department. Size-wise, you'll probably want to bump up a size from what you'd typically wear, but if you're coming off another pair of Giordana, I'd probably start you in the same size that you're used to. All in all, the NX-G get a resounding 5 stars in my book.

I'd pure after a similarly high-quality piece with less compression in the legs, check out the Lungo bib.

        Tempurpedic for your butt

        • Fit: True to size

These shorts are awesome, with the chamois being the real standout. The best way I can describe the chamois is bottomless. You feel nice and connected to the saddle, but you never get the feeling where your sit bones end up compressing through the chamois.

It does take a good 30 to 40 seconds extra to get them on and situated correctly. As said in earlier reviews, the legs are long. You need to pull the legs up and work with the leg band to get them up a bit. If you just pull them on they will sit behind your knee. They will still sit a hair lower than most, but other than seeming aesthetically unusual compared to normal, there are no adverse effects. There is also a nice pouch up front for Alvin and the Chipmunks that works quite well.

I have ridden Louis Garner, Pearl, Capo (my close second favorite), Catella, Assos, etc., but these are the best bibs I have ever worn.

        Comfort above all else

        • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: Medium
        • Height: 5'9"
        • Weight: 155lbs

I tried these on and need to get some! The compression is perfect, the straps are a little tight but really hold the bibs in the right place. The chamois has the perfect amount of padding and movement. The legs stay in place nicely and they seem like the will breath really well. The extension of the chamois in the front make them very comfortable while riding on the rivet. Highly recommend these bibs!

        Great bib, if pricey

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: Large (fits as Castelli)

I wanted to wait a little before writing my review. I bought this bib in November 2017 and I have used for almost every ride until now, for a total of about 4000 km, give or take.
This bib is quite fantastic (minus the price): nice touch feeling, great compression, good looks, fantastic leg grippers (legs do not move up or down). One thing that susprised me is that you can wear it post-ride without the need to shed the bib off, like other bibs.

The chamois is really great: not bulky and very effective with the FANTASTIC Cupa Mundial: a space in the front of the chamois to accommodate “the male anatomy”. Translated kn man’s language, a space where your nuts and dongle can rest without you sitting on them or wothout them being plastered in the general “unisex” anatomic design of most Bibs. This is actually the reason I bought this bib, based on a rave review by and I was not disappointed. Recently I went back to my Castelly bibs (Progetto2 and Kiss 3 chamois) and the difference is abismal in favor of Giordana: with Castelli’s I was readjusting my “anatomy” a few minutes in the ride, and every few minutes!
The only negative thing is the price, ouch! Now, two considerations: 1) you can put things in perspective. For me, this won’t wear out until I have ridden at least 10k km. At $400, that’s 4 cents/km, a small price to pay to have your “anatomy” comfortable ;-)
        2) There are other Giordana bibs that offer the Cirro S chamois + cupa mundial at half the price. ( the FR-C pro).

        Problem with leg elastic

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
        • Fit: Runs small
        • Size Bought: extra large
        • Height: 6'2"
        • Weight: 200lbs

I really like the fit and design of these bibs.. so much so that I got a second pair. However, the high-tech aspects employed here are also proving to be its downfall.

There's a film of sticky material applied to the inside of the legs, a strip that runs along the edges, to hold the bibs to your legs and keep them from riding up. Which is all good and fine, but after a couple of months of use, the material is coming off. It's really gummy, sticks to itself and my legs. Hopefully when it's completely gone the bibs will still be functional, but there's also some threads coming loose (see photo) which probably means more trouble.

This is happening on both pairs. Seems to be a design defect.

btw I always wash cold/delicate cycle and line dry. I've never had this sort of problem with any other bibs.. best to avoid buying these until Giordana works out this issue.

        Best Kit Ever

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size
        • Size Bought: XL
        • Height: 6'2"
        • Weight: 210lbs

Great bibs! Very comfortable for long rides. I saw the reviews complaining about the length of the legs but I'm 6'2 and 210lbs. and I love the fit! Will definitely buy more of kits

        I hated to return them!

        • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
        • Size Bought: Large
        • Height: 6'
        • Weight: 174lbs

These bibs were so close to being the best I'd ever tried. Compression was awesome. Workmanship was superb. The problem, however, was that they were too long -- so long that they rubbed behind my knees. That has never happened to me before. While I hated to return them, they were too expensive not to. Sorry.

        Extremely nice, rather expensive bibs

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size

Conceptually identical to Castelli's bodypaint bibs but with slightly less stretchy and therefore slightly more compressive legs. Sizing seems identical to Castelli., although legs are a bit longer. Like the bodypaint, the single seam on the legs is far nicer than multiple seams. Very comfortable, fairly low volume chamois. Shoulder straps not as soft as they should be, hopefully will soften when washed a few times. Very well made. Feel great, look great. The material of the legs is different from the material of the rest of the shorts, and the pictures make it look like a very noticeable pouch in front. This effect is much less visible in person.

Bottom line is that these are in the upper echelon of the best bib shorts and personal preferences and fit will dictate whether they are among the very best for you.

The real issue is whether these are worth a large premium over other high-end bibs, and that depends on how value-conscious you are since a number of brands I think are 80-90% as good but at 50-60% of the cost.
