One often reads about the benefits of compression in cycling shorts. The gentle squeezing of the muscles promotes healthy blood flow, which lessens the impact of fatigue and promotes speedier recovery. The Giordana Gradual Compression Knee-High Socks extend the benefits of compression to your lower legs both when worn on the bike or around the house after a hard training day, when putting your feet up isn't an option.
They're knit in such a way that the compression increases towards the cuff, counteracting gravity. Gravity's negative effect on lower-leg circulation is evident through the common cycling experience of swelling in the feet. Compression limits swelling by supporting veins in their task of returning blood to the heart and flushing out harmful acids produced by vigorous training.
The Compression Knee-High Socks are made of Dryarn, a light polypropylene that insulates and wicks moisture away from the skin; it's also naturally resistant to odors. Lycra provides the compression and helps the socks keep their shape through numerous washes. The Giordana Gradual Compression Knee-Height Socks come in Black/Grey and in three sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.

These are not only great for riding but they're great for traveling. I tend to wear compression socks when on long flights to keep my feet from swelling too much. These work great.
- Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
I gave these to a friend of mine who needed some good socks to do some hiking in. I really enjoy wearing compression socks, they help with circulation and ultimately let your feet last longer. I'd recommend these to cyclist and hikers who are looking for a lower cost compression sock that is lightweight.
