It may seem counterintuitive to put on extra layers in an effort to stay cool, but that's exactly what you should be doing with this piece. You'll find the fit to be snug, but not restrictive. I've been wearing this piece as a shoulder-season layer (40-60 degrees), though I'm sure I can comfortably wear it throughout most of the summer.

This baselayer surprised me with how good it was. The material is very soft and lightweight so it's almost invisible once on, fit is next-to-skin as it should be but not compressive. On a recent cool weather ride with lots of climbing I expected to be overheating on the climbs and chilled on the descents and instead was comfortable the entire time. The baselayer wicked sweat and cooled me consistently on the uphill grinds and kept all the sweat that did accumulate away from my body to prevent cooling on the downhills. I don't wear lightweight baselayers often but I'm going to start wearing this every ride!

This is such an awesome piece. Living in Utah often means being stuck inside on the trainer when the snow is flying outside. Airflow is often an issue riding inside on the trainer even with fans I find myself overheating and pouring sweat. I started using both the tank and short sleeve version of this FR-C Pro base layer and I can attest to the sweat wicking abilities/cooling effect they provide. I will be buying more to add to my arsenal for sure. One cool thing, especially for riders on teams is that these can actually be customer ordered/sublimated with team logos. I don't give out 5 star reviews often, but these are legit and awesome base layers.

Three more pairs later and I can't find any drawbacks with this piece. I don't leave for a ride without my FR-C underneath and have now transitioned to the sleeveless variant which pairs better with baggy MTB jerseys. Keep yourself temperature regulated this summer and pick up a pair of these baselayers!
