Fear no storm.
Enter storms with no fear, thanks to the Giordana AV 100 H20 Winter Jacket for men. Built tough, and ultra-lightweight, the AV 100 packs a punch against weather in wet and windy climates, with sealed seams and eVent's 3-layer DVAlpine fabric keeping moisture rolling away, while sealed seams keep drops from sneaking in through the cracks, and a DWR coating adds an extra water-beading shield to the mix. Packable, simple, and sleek, the AV 100 H20 is the perfect jacket for wet days without a chill on its own as a jersey, but can be layered underneath to insulate your core when the mercury drops.
It's only fitting for a member of Giordana's Aqua+Vento line to be built as a completely waterproof jacket that breathes, which is why its designers opted to use eVent's 3-layer DVAlpine fabric to construct the AV 100 H20 Winter Jacket. DVAlpine wicks exceptionally well, while breathing with ease, setting standards high for waterproof technology so that you don't have to stress when a storm rolls over the mountains and your miles from cover. The jacket features Direct Venting technology, that uses its ultra-light shear lining to pill moisture away from skin to escape instantly to regulate your core temperature and stay desert-dry inside.
The AV 100 H20 Winter Jacket doesn't have a fleece lining, unlike the burlier AV 200, which makes it lighter weight. What the AV 100 H20 lacks in insulation, it more than makes up for in waterproofing, with the ability to keep water beading and rolling off and cut through icy gusts without thinking twice. With the same waterproofing as its short-sleeve sibling, this jacket will offer more coverage in climates that get a little colder, and can be layered underneath for days when things get cold.
Elevating protection to the next level, Giordana opts to throw another coating of waterproofing on the jacket with a DWR treatment that suspends water to the outer most layer of fabric to keep them beading and rolling off with ease. Three cargo pockets along the back of the jacket offer the space you need to stash a spare tube, nutrition and essentials, and a zippered side pocket is ideal for stashing your cards and keys safely. In the back a long drop-tail hem covers you with Giordana's reflective Pixel accents that illuminate under headlights to boost your safety on the ride. The fit is tailored and slim cut, designed to hold you comfortably in your riding position with little extra room for more than a base layer or slim-fitting jersey underneath.

great jacket esp. with the sale price
- I've used it several times
- True to size
- Size Bought
- 5` 11"
- 150 lbs
I'm 5'11" 150lbs, long-ish legs. Size medium fits good, could be a little longer in the torso for walking around but on the bike its great. Definitely a slim fit. Made of a stretchy material, quite different from the typical goretex type stuff that doesn't stretch at all, packs pretty small. Light rain is no problem (stayed dry), haven't had it on yet in a true downpour. Pretty warm, been low 40's in Seattle and I just wear a light base layer, with warm gloves I didn't get cold on an hour long ride. Basically I forget about this jacket when I'm riding, which is the highest compliment to any piece of gear.

Do you have experience with Castelli's Gabba or Perfetto? Can you compare these? I too live in Seattle, am 5'10" and 155 ish. I fit a Large Gabba very well.

Sizing is Bonkers
- I returned this product before using it
- Runs small
- Size Bought
- 6` 1"
- 210 lbs
While this is a nice looking and seeming jacket the sizing is completely off. I ordered a 2XL on this because Giordano stuff has always fit me in XL. When it arrived I couldn't even come close to closing it. It barely fit a friend of mine who is a medium in all things. Not sure if this was just mistagged but seriously wrong in sizing. In general I'm going to stop ordering online because sizing standards are all over the place.
