    Track the waves.

Just because you're in the water doesn't mean you have to stop gathering data. The Garmin HRM-Swim lets you track your training in the surf. Designed specifically for swimmers, this non-slip strap stores data and transmits it wirelessly to your Garmin Epix, Fenix 3, or Forerunner 920XT device.

The HRM-Swim boasts a water rating of 5 ATM, meaning it'll withstand the forces of up to 50 meters of water, making it perfect for swimming, shallow snorkeling, and other shallow water activities. Whether you're timing laps in your local pool or chasing turtles next to a tropical island, this strap won't miss a beat. It runs on a standard CR2032 battery that's easily replaceable with a trip to the neighborhood grocery store and has a claimed battery life of 18 months when swimming an average of three hours a week.

    One of very few options

I am pretty rigorous about monitoring my heart rate when training on a bike or running, but I have never been able to track it in the pool. I am hoping this will solve the problem. Just purchased it; so I will need to report back on the effectiveness.

      Unanswered Question

I see no mention of a chest strap. When I search for swim heart monitors sans chest strap this comes up. Please enlighten me.

      Unanswered Question

Does this also track out of water activity? Monitor Sleep. What other features does it have other than in the water?
