Very Reliable, Never Adventure without i

I've put it through the wringer

I have owned this now for about 5 months and never go on a backcountry adventure without it. With how spotty mobile service is in backcountry Idaho, I bought this to put my wife's mind at rest while mountaineering. Even in the most remote of areas, I feel confident that whether I break down, have an animal encounter, get lost, or injure myself my family will be at peace knowing exactly where I am. The text message system works great.

Does this link to my iphone? Can i send and receive text messages with it linked to my iphone (can i use my iphone to type messages or do i have to click buttons on the garmin device itself?)

How much is the in reach subscription monthly?

Hey Andrew! Great question. There is a one-time $19.95 subscription activation fee. Moving up a plan is free, and moving down a plan incurs a $24.95 fee. Thanks, Jean
